that's only true if its something that applies only to your own situation.
things that interest me, outside of simulating them on the computer or with physical models, require getting more other people on board then seem to be interested in doing so.
(example: replacing a transportation policy of dependence on the private automobile, with little people sized solar powered multiple unit trains,
and decentralizing energy production, and replacing oil, coal and nuclear with solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, el al)
