driving on acid/going to a concert on acid

ok so swim has done acid about 30 or so times the most swim has taken is 4 blotters, pretty strong ones too. swim has driven about 15 minutes on acid but it was after he peaked. every other time swim has done acid swim has been inside his house, at a friends houses, and once at school. the first time swim did it swim had a "bad" trip where swim just started seeing disturbing images. however swim embraced this feeling and ended up not having a problem. since than swim has been able to control his trips. swim hasn't taken acid in a few months and here's what swim plan's on doing. taking 2 blotters at 6, driving for an hour to a concert,(before the acid takes effect) going to see tool(at 8), driving to the closest fast food place afterwards, waiting until swim is sure the peak is over, and driving an hour back home. what do you think about this? also don't reply unless you or someone you know has done something similar. i've noticed the only negative comments about driving on acid are biased by those who have never taken it and simply say "don't do it you're stupid." so this will be swim's first concert on acid and swim will be seeing tool what are your thoughts on going to a concert on acid and in particular seeing tool on acid. also, will swim be ok driving for a longer period than before? (swim is pretty good at controlling the trip and seporating reality from the trip. 2 hits isn't much for swim as he usually takes 3.) thoughts? experiences?

 

also i apologize if this has been posted before i've read a few forums about driving on acid on this website but they weren't that helpful.

 

I would say don't drive, if you do you don't need to see Tool, you are a tool.

And you don't need to swim here. That's just plain silly.

 

a tool is someone who is being used but is basically too stupid to realize it. you may think i'm an asshole, but saying i'm a tool makes no sense. Do you have a reason why i shouldn't drive on cid? have you tried it? do you have a friend who tried it? if not your opinion is useless to me, but thanks anyways. :biker: <- lolz

 

You shouldn't drive on acid because it's fuckin' stupid.. if you want to kill yourself then go for it, but at least consider other peoples lives and property.
It fucks with your judgement, depth perception, sense of reason.. if you're that desperate get a taxi or some shit.

 

Please don't try and drive on acid, that's a recipe for disaster!

 

Although I would never recommend driving on acid to anyone I will say it's been done many times with no problem. Things were different back in the 70's though.....

I have driven on acid. But I was also young and stupid at the time.

If you don't care that impaired driving may fuck up someone else's life, then consider that impaired driving can also fuck up YOUR life in a wide variety of ways.

 

Perhaps you could get a ride to the show from a friend. Problem solved. Dose away

 

Also, I would be concerned about unforeseen time delays in your calculations; like hitting traffic that lasts sometimes hours from an accident or something; having a flat or car trouble that isn't quickly repaired on the side of the road; getting pulled over for something and going to jail for the night...

 

ok i appreciate the comments im looking for firsthand or secondhand experience though because i have driven on it before and it wasn't too bad. my friend was telling me about how he was on the highway and him and his gf were driving while on acid and he was doing fine for a while but than he started freaking out and thought he was in a screensaver. that's the only story i've heard about someone having a bad experience while driving on it. on most of the forums i read it's hard to drive on acid but easier than weed and driving on shrooms is the worst mistake people have ever made. but does anyone have any experiences with acid impairing their driving to the point where it was dangerous? because so far the only people who say you shouldn't drive on acid is people who haven't done it and the people who say it's fine have tried it. but should i be fine seeing tool live on acid?

It felt like 'no big deal'. I was always very in control of my trips and my mind and can maintain clarity.

But I've driven drunk too and that felt like 'no big deal'

Reality: It isn't a big deal until it is. And when it is, it fucks up lives and is ultimately not worth it, no matter how confident a person is or how many anecdotal stories about people doing it without problems there are. Just don't.

 

Maybe I didn't word mine correctly either, but my comment was on first hand experience as well...... Quite a few first hand experiences. I wouldn't recommend it, even though it was fun at the time......

 

yea it felt like no bid deal when i did it. of course i was with a friend so while driving i acted like i was worried to psyche him out. i can drive around my neighborhood fine whilst tripping but if i did drive i'd be on the interstate and i don't know how different that would be. very good point though about how it's not a big deal until it is

 

what's the longest you've driven and how was it?

 

I've driven on shrooms and other drugs, its pretty careless, thoughtless and immature to drive on drugs regardless of the drug and how well or how well you think you can drive on them.

Tool live was amazing on psychedelics.
