After having a shitty time on the other pill I was on/changed to, I decided to get the shot yesterday. Im ok besides a sore ass.

my body normally reacts good to contraceptives. Besides the last pill. But I could be jumping the gun on this. Anyone have bad side effects later on on this?

I honestly cant wait til my period completely stops. That wont be til I believe after september though

I know chics that have lost weight on it and their boobies got bigger. If you do gain, you can just sweat it out babe. Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be alright.

I was on the depo shot for 4 years. I got weird random sorta-periods. It sucked so much more calcium out of my bones, I have to take supplements for the rest of my life, so my current doctor says.

I dont put any weight into depo= calcium deficiancy, although I can tell you I have never felt better or in tune with my body than when I got off all birth control. And even though I'm more in tune with my body, I've lost two pregnancies in the past year. Again, i' m not saying depo caused it, I'm just saying after I was on it, it took me years to get pregnant and I've never carried a baby to term. I've been tested for the "normal" causes for miscarrying multiple pregnancies and nothing has given me any answers.

But you know what? I never got pregnant. I dont know if being on depo has caused the miscarriages, but I can vouch for it keeping me from getting pregnant to begin with.

The shot has done wonders for me, as long as you commit to a so called healthy lifestyle the side effects shouldn't be as bad, I didn't have my period whatsoever, but I did gained some weight, for me it was welcomed since it added to my "feminity" just remember to not smoke and to keep a healthy lifestyle! I've been on it for over a year and no pregnancy after being sexually active on a daily basis with no protection except for the shot itself, good luck!:)
