There is something about the word 'craft' that seems kinda... well grandmaish....

it doesnt have to be this way, there are plenty of crafts out there that are way too radical for granny...

here are some things that I have done... it would be great if you could all share your hip craft ideas too.

    Square shoulder bags.
    Melted record bowls.
Printed Tees with bands on them, using paint and transfers.
    groovy pjs.
    50's style tacky aprons
    Hip potholders
    Plectrum Earings
Madhatters hats and sleeping caps, much like noddy.
    Op/pop art wall hangings
    guitar strap making
Zip secured faux fur legators raver style
    Converted pillow case skirts/ minis

and yea, thats all off the top of my head... if you want any patterns or how tos, just ask.

So share the ideas... I wanna hear about all your indiecrafts!

Lately I've been attempting to make tops and stuff for family on the sewing machine, but they are coming out quite horrid...

I used to tiedye, but I don't like store-bought dyes, they just scream "fake capitalist wannabe!" So I've recently started reading about extracting dyes from certain plants.

I also color in the white parts of my shoes with red permanent marker :sunglasse

hey i've been wanting to make one of those square shoulder bags for so long but i cant figure out how, could i get the pattern that would be awesome:)

and your other ideas are cool too

one thing i like to do is take a bunch of pairs of jeans, and cut the bottoms off them and mix and match them and sew them back on. i just did a pair that i had used bleach on this summer with my friends to make designs, i cut off the bottoms about midway below the knee and on one leg i sewed the bottoms to another pair that had fringe and rinestones, on the other leg i sewed the bottoms to a dressy black and grey pair of jeans with glitter and a flower design all over it.
