I have a long story that that involves spiritual awakening, love, lose, children, Tibetan Buddhism, Apache Shamanism, self destruction, reconstruction, depression, substance abuse, rehabilitation, psycho drama, eight years of intensive counselling, experiential workshops, sweat lodges, four long term very serious relationships that failed tragically..... Then combine that with being a successful business owner and home owner in Sausalito Ca. You put this small handful of ingredients together and that's what has combined to give me access to my heart, my genuine value system, my true passion in this word. It is this culmination of awaking that has given me a much deeper perspective on the true nature of our current value system. Any authentic person who wakes up one day in life may have this epiphany that our monetary system and possession have no value. Wealth resides in relationship with others, in community, in manifesting synergy and building an economy based on shared integrity, shared energy and global ownership of our planets bounty.... The hoarders will naturally go the way of Darwin's laws. I am ready for a quantum leap of consciousness into a higher recognition of the true nature of reality. Likely this will take a safe community that has arrived at a similar state of conscious awareness. Perhaps people who are willing to journey into the seldom visited quadrants of our subtle psyche. I have the place if you have the means. Write me if you feel this warrants a conversation. afloatinsaus@yahoo.com thank you for reading. James[/I]
I keep coming back to a remark by David Crosby, the public musician and private mariner, that turned up in Rolling Stone a few years ago. For me it sums up what the sea does for the individual and what it may yet do for humankind. Crosby said: "You can't bullshit the ocean. It's not listening, you know what I mean?"
