I've been told by numerous piercers that I am tongue tied so can't get my tongue pierced safely,

The reason I was going to get my tongue pierced was to use as a bass for having it split in a year or so.

can I still get my tongue split if I am tongue tied?

I dont really know what tounge tied means.. but there are more ways to get it split, like cutting and burning, both done by pro piercers ofcourse, the second one closes the wound :)

When your frenulum is too short, it keeps your tongue close to your mouth, you can't stick it out far :)

Don't do it, please. Split tongues are a huge turnoff.

Having spoken to the guy that does it, no would not be able to get it done, as I also have very large / wide veins in my tongue, so he would not be happy to do it.

even if the frenulum is removed? then you might be able to get it pierced and split with a wire that is wrapped and will split slowly.. :)
