I had a time when I just turned 18 when my car broke down for good. Running over angels. So I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself for the day, and I ran into a guy, maybe 20 or so.

His mom had just died of cancer months ago. So he put a sign to donate for cancer relief on his backpack and started walking. Walked all the way down from Washington to California. And walked from California to Texas where I met him. His plan was to get to Florida and to dive into the sea.

Anyway, it really put that everyday tragedy of a broken car into perspective.

i suppose my legs did turn pretty red the time i got my car towed in florida and i had to walk for about 3 hours to pick it up, but that was just severe sunburn.

i peeled like a motherfucker after that hike.

I worked for a very long time in an acute psych ward and have never seen a patient admitted for intending to cause self harm by attempted finger breaking and long walks.. just sayin

It's almost like since exercise can trigger psychotic episodes so we all should be lazy xD haha. But yeah man I have been to a psych ward for suicidal thoughts and extreme bipolar and I want you to know that it doesn't change who you are as a person and you are loved unconditionally. Keep taking your meds and I will, as much as they may seem like bull shit, and remember to check on the drugs you are doing and make sure they don't have any serious interactions with recreational drugs of any sort.

Next time if your legs hurt from walking so much, just start running.
