I haven't started reading this book yet, although I do own it. It's called "Fear and Loathing at Rolling Stone: The Essential Writing of Hunter S. Thompson". I am currently reading "This is a Book" by Demetri Martin and "The Book of Peace, or the Way of Within Called the Glorious Threefold Path, the Way of the True Self" by Richard Shannon, which is why I haven't began reading the Thompson book. I LOVE Hunter S. Thompson (as I'm sure you all know who he is) So I'm super excited to read this book. Although it doesn't have "The Rum Diary" in it, as I was hoping, as well as the full book of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But, nonetheless, I still can't wait to read it. I was just curious as to if anyone else has read this or The Book of Peace. I found The Book of Peace in Half-Price Books, and it's from 1971. It's VERY interesting and I love it. I'm gonna have to buy The Rum Diary and Fear and Loathing whenever I have extra change to dish out for books :2thumbsup:
I have read his essential writing, you will love it The mind of Hunter S. Thompson is one of a kind, and you can't find writing like his in any other author. Such a unique voice and so much intelligence sits behind his words. That book is as addicting as cigarettes man, I found myself blowing off so many plans so i could sit and read it haha.
this^ is why I'm waiting to read it so i can finish the others i am reading haha. can't handle 3 books at once, i'll forget about the others if i get hooked on one lol
