The problem with this, is that it assumes that every artist and crafter is recorded in some giant book somewhere...

I can't even begin to number the people I have met in my life that create all sorts of things that in no way are ever marked as to it's origins.

The idea that it will automatically fall into a known pattern that can be traced is worse. It totally discounts the possibility of anyone ever creating something truly spontaneous and unique... which is one of the main criteria (for me) for true art or craftsmenship.

The point being, just because we can't trace who made it or when, doesn't automatically mean it was dropped off by aliens (or whatever other theory you wish to run with).

As for the idea that some items have been discovered in solid rock... You'd have to have some really amazing proof of it before I would even consider it... If that 'proof' is a news article, don't expect me to put anymore faith in it then I would if I saw it on Fox news (that translates to ZERO)...

Don't get me wrong... I am not saying that this bell didn't get zapped into the middle of rock to fuck with our minds by some alien race... It's just the sort of thing I would do if I could...

"***snicker*** this will so fuck their minds when they find this Molson Canadian Beer cap encased in solid diamond from 1000 feet down" ***puff puff***"

I am just saying that to assume it is, makes no more sense then to assume it isn't...

    True story -

During one of my occasional stints as an archaeologist I landed the task of having to sift through a couple of sacks of soil, which had been taken from a Roman site and supposedly from a Roman context.

Well, there were lots of stones, the odd fragment of bone or pottery and...hey ! A coin !

But hang on - the coin had a milled edge, meaning it was fairly modern. When cleaned off, it proved to be an old UK sixpence of 20th century vintage. How it got into soil samples that were supposedly laid down around 1500 years ago is anyone's guess... not that my superiors were at all interested in speculating about that, in fact they seemed embarrassed and keen to play it down.

Maybe there's a black museum of things found where they shouldn't have been somewhere...

Or maybe the soil was from the wrong place, perhaps mislabelled. I do know that we went ahead and the data collected [minus anomalous coin] entered the system nevertheless.

Or just perhaps it got there via a timeslip, occult means, a time-traveller with a sense of humour... who knows ?

One slightly spooky fact - the year on the coin was the year of my birth

He cannot give himself a roundhouse kick. If he did, he would be killed, but he cannot die from any kick, making his instant kill roundhouse no more an instant kill roundhouse, thus negating all his powers.

I find this to be very interesting. Below are some more examples of similar finds.

    http://ancientx.com/nm/anmviewer.asp?a=75

These were not found inside rock but in a cave 3 m (10 ft) below the current ground level. These artifacts are thought to be 35-40,000 yrs old. Still very interesting.

And now there saying the first human habitation is 800,000 yrs ago.

    http://news.discovery.com/history/early-humans-britain.html

There is so much conflicting data its unreal. How much do we really know about the ancient past? How many civalizations have come and gone that we may never know anything about?

Another oddity at best is all the cases of frogs, lizards and turtles etc. that have been found in solid rock that is alive but usually dies shortly after being freed. Here is a link but there are many other cases of this too.

Out of Place artifacts is one of my favorite paranormal topics. Some cool ones are the metal spheres in South Africa http://s8int.com/page9.html They're hundreds of small spheres made of metal. Their origin is unknown and they're very old. The spheres are also perfectly balanced.
Fossilized human footprints in 200,000 year old rock http://s8int.com/page12.html found underground in Managua, Nicaragua in 1884.
