A ghost in my house?

So my parents and little brother keep talking about hearing their names being called in the middle of the night and random temperature drops in their room with an accompanying darkness. My little brother says he feels a presence in his room at random moments of the day and wakes up almost every morning around 3 am. But I have never felt any of these things... I am incredibly paranoid though and stayed up all last night because I was so afraid of something creepy happening because I actually DID wake up at 3 am totally randomly. I have never believed in ghosts, but every time I hear one of those stories I become paralyzed with fear at the possibility of their existence, I don't feel safe in this house anymore. Does anybody else have a paranoia or anything to say about "ghosts"?

I definitely know rooms in at least 2 buildings (an old hospital where people died and an old ex- hospital where people died) where me and other credible people felt a very clear presence.
To describe in detail it would take pages, sorry Im too lazy to write that much...

 

It's nothing to be afraid of or lose sleep over , even if the house is haunted . We fear the dead and unknown to much . It's the living ones we need to fear , not the dead . Try not to worry about it . Besides you haven't even had any experiences yet , and probably won't .

 

My friend has had and still has what she thinks is her mom playing pranks on her. It freaks her out ,but I reminded her that she should just enjoy them because no matter what her mom does--she won't hurt her. I feel that if the dead ACTUALLY CAN communicate--that's good news because it would mean that there IS something after death.

 

3 A.M. is said to be when spirits are most active, so that corresponds to a lot of other people's experiences. You probably have spirits ... I agree with "papa wolf" ... probably nothing to be afraid of. I have a friend who was awakened in the night by his resident ghost ... he was just in time to put out a fire that had been caused by drapes hanging over a base board heater. Chalk up one good deed for the other side.

 

When I was a child, I would follow my mother to her work. Really, I can not remember what building was for, it was 20 years time ago! However, I was left alone in a play-room. I only can remember, a large board of some kind, to draw pictures. This room had very strong, clear presence.

I could feel being watched, I would turn around always to the corner of the room and stare, (is where it felt to be from). Also, the hairs on the neck feeling we do hear about! It was a terrible feeling, and really did hate to go into this room. Of course, worst was leaving it, I felt I was being chased down the staircase, so would jump the full staircase to leave faster!

It sounds like a ghost to me also , if all there doing is calling your name and droping the temp a little , I dont think I would worry too much . You might set up some tape recorders and look for e.v.p. or get some parnormal , inv. to check in to it .You might call to them , say things like you do know your dead and time to move on . desert rat

I don't care anymore. I'm sure I've had ghosts before, and I think I might even have one now.

They don't mess with me much (noisy sometimes), but I think we can all get along.

Most haunted places simply have a source of infrasound which is sound that is out of human's conscience hearing range but your ears still sense. This causes your brain to recieve electronic signals from your ears but it only percieves them on a subconscience level. Also infrasounds near 18 hz can cause the eyes to resonant and can cause visual distortions.

Infrasound has been known to cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. Since it is not consciously perceived, it can make people feel vaguely that supernatural events are taking place. I would guess your house has a faulty hvac fan.

Bloody hell! I wanted to believe but this make far too much sense.

 

On eleomagnetic fields , or infer sound . There are some places where wiring problems create the ghost effect. In the USA its 60 hz the rest to the world is either 50 hz or 60 hz . This can be checked with a emf meter . If it is coming from house wiring , it can be corected . A simpler was is to turn off the main circuit breaker ,or the branch circuit breaker to a room , and see if the ghost is still there . Banging in the closet. Lids to jars disappearing. Ink on the crotch of some of her clothing. And the topper=when her mom was 95,she had to sit her on the edge of her bed and hold a pan under her to piss in,because the old lady was too weak to make it to the bathroom. Occasionally,piss would get on a spot on the edge of the bed in the same spot,so my friend would have to strip the bed and re-make it. A few weeks after the old lady died--a wet spot showed up on the same spot as the piss had gotten onto. No roof leak. No spilled water. Nothing. So it goes.

I believe ghosts exist, and using EVP recordings along with other methods are something you could do, as another poster said.
But in all honesty, whatever you might hear, you can't unhear. If you live in that house, I'd think carefully before you really want to know all the secrets about this paranormal presence.

 

Yah anytime between 3-4 a.m. is the ghosting hour.

EMF or "whateversound" I've found can come from computers running, powerlines, etc.
Try meditating with a computer on, you'll feel presence, or go on the powerlines and meditate, you may feel a presence.
