I thought maybe someone here could appreciate it xD people always wonder what it stands for and then look at me weird as I try to explain it... but hey it works for me.. who else uses RC's?
For someone reason i thought it stood for research chemical come on dont keep us waiting!! the suspense is killing me!
Awesome! Be sure to keep journals and tell us about your LD's! We always enjoy it! Gotta pinch myself for seeing that Thanks.
remote control. something that, in the parallel universe my dreams occur in, is mostly replaced by psionics.
Dang I thought more people would understand it xD ha ha on the soda, that's the first thing everyone says. And the second is remote control... Anyway, yes it means reality check. It's a common lucid dreaming term, a reality check is something you do during the day to see whether you are in a dream or not. For instance, flipping a light switch or counting your fingers, because light levels don't really change in dreams and you usually don't have the right number of fingers xD. I'm pretty passionate about dreaming so I decided to go all out and get a tattoo of it. The permanence of it during the day really helps, I assumed that in my dream I would notice that it wasn't there or something but it turns out it just transforms into something else. Once it was a heart, once it was a smudge of dirt and a couple times there have been the wrong letters. Something I can look down and check so easily helps the lucidity last longer too, if you don't constantly remind yourself you are dreaming you tend to lose the consciousness pretty quickly
well i don't know how to say this, but in my own dreams, everything works just exactly as well as it does in this universe. every smell, taste, sensation, visual, tacktile and any other form of observing and experiencing. mirrors, clocks, mechanical things, all of it. with the addition of a few things that in this universe don't, like teleporting and levitating, and the geography is different and you can also shape things with your mind sometimes, although you can't always backtrack through them where they'd be the same as you left them. i don't need to DO anything to know which universe i'm in. i know THIS one, i'm in now, typing this, is the one in which i can't or don't levitate or teleport, and i can only chage the shapes of things by mechanical means or in 3d programs on the computer. likewise i know when i'm in THAT universe, because THERE is where things like levitation and teleportation work commonly and easily. even a little too commonly and easily some times.
Really? Ive never heard of that. Have you looked at an alarm clock in a dream, looked away then looked back and it had the same time? Have you tried to text someone or read something in a dream?
yes i've read portions of books, and text on computer screens, logos on the sides of railroad cars. clocks aren't usually there. there's generally not a whole lot of need for them, except maybe to have some idea when the next bus or train is going to come along. but i have seen them occasionally, and they're always perfectly readable. i'm not usually able to remember what any of them say when i wake up, but that's no big thing, as they pertain to THAT universe, rather then this one. also the headcodes on busses and trams, and their schedual books. i've even opperated a few of them, with the kinds of controls they have there. sometimes worked for the tram system, or inter"city" railway as my job there. sometimes just rode them a lot. interesting experiences riding them sometimes. which i like better then teleporting, that's where you can't backtrack because things behind you have changed. so don't drop your keys or your chewing gum. but actually, the overall geography doesn't change that much. i know the bus routs in a couple of towns like the back of my hand, and where they are on maps and physically in relation to each other. in THAT universe, which is different from where towns of similar names and or configurations, are in relation to each other in this one.
