Hi everyone, my wife will be fifty in March. As we are both children of the sixties I have made her a Birthday card which (I hope) captures the spirit of the decade in which we were born. I am stuck for a suitable birthday wish to write. Can anyone out their suggest anything? Any help would be most apreciated. Thanks Chris B.
I thought it might be good to use a hippie type wish/blessing. The sort of thing that starts "may the ----------, and may your ....." I couldn't find anything like that, but wasn't that a Hippie sort of thing to do? Thanks again.
Kind of long for a card, but I have been well served by Bob Dylan's "Forever Young", so maybe just one verse. May God bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young. May you grow up to be righteous May you grow up to be true May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you May you always be courageous Stand upright and be strong May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young. May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful And may your song always be sung May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young. Peace, poor_old_dad
Hi, thanks for that. I have chopped it around to come up with this May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful And may your song always be sung May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung I'll think about it a little more but I think it works well. I hope Bob Dylan won't mind! Thanks again.
