I don't mean to bring you into the spotlight Lotus, but I just couldn't help reading this statement in your post, recognizing your beautiful honesty, and really kynda being smacked in the side of this head with this ... Whether people want to confess it or not, many, many, many people think along this lyne (myself definetly being included). We can't go on like this though is my point. :H what to say now? ... Why is it so difficult? I hear many people saying the 'magic' just isn't there. Do you believe this? I fynd myself seeing this type of thinking as defeated and way too pessimistic. What is the magic? I would say myself it is no doubt love, simply and amazingly. And are we so incapable of the turning on the empowering lovelight? Im lost again, I think I dropped a few of my feelings though ...

i'm new here, you may consider me one of those "kids". but i disagree. i think it's good that kids are getting interested in new things. what's wrong with wanting to be a better person?

Thanks for the honest reply MOsEs. I was thinking this morning about that same thing. Mainly relating to the thread about whether the hippie movement is dying or growing. While there may be a lot of "hippies" around, maybe we have lost that magic. I was listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's "Wooden Ships" and it got me thinking about the 60's and I wondered what was happening there that we need now.(Magic?) I mean, yeah there was the Vietnam War, but isn't the war we're in right now just as fucked up, if not more. Our President certainly is. Alot of people see the need for a change, like myself, that are too scared or don't know how to go about creating it. And then there are those that just go about there lives, eating, sleeping, fucking, breathing, consuming, killing and are happily ignorant to what is really going on. Is ignorance really bliss? Sorry I'm going off but my thoughts have been on this quite a bit lately.

And yes, young ones, you are more than welcome here. After all, aren't children the future? :D
