She's mutton dressed as lamb! When should women pack away mini skirts?

‘She looks like mutton dressed as lamb’ my mother would scoff as she walked past some lovely looking woman, maybe not dressed as a nun, but certainly in slightly revealing clothes.


But how do women know when it’s time to fold away the mini shirts along with wedding dress, or, is there ever a good time?


In England a controversy has been brewing about an older woman, Lisa Woodman, who claims to have been denied entry into 3 nightclubs in her home town in England for being too old to wear tight clothes, guess what, she’s only 28!


Any woman will say, well most, that the way they dress is more influenced by body image than age.


If we put on weight, the mini is packed away, and as we lose those pounds, maybe it can be snuck out for another couple of nights out?


As a woman, ashamed to admit to being in her forties, yes, it’s true that old, my clothes may hang a little closer to the knees but men, also in their forties seem to think that’s fine. I’ve seen their eyes float up my legs, their hands happily hold my waist.



But then again, maybe they’ve gone blind! So they just have no idea what they are grabbing.


So is there an age when women should stop wearing tight, revealing clothes?

 

yeah, it's mostly about weight. but a full-on granny probably shouldn't completely sex it up either.

 

People should wear whatever they want and accept that people are going to judge.

Clubs should really only be alowed to discriminate if they are private and for rich people, like golf clubs. But their crowd is happy to be judged hot enough to get in... unless of course they're not

 

Gah, I hate this shit. Guys say they're attracted to confidence, but once a woman is confident about something that OTHERS wouldn't see as attractive or 'sexy', it's no longer desirable.

No , just because a 18 year doesnt find a woman in her 40/50 attractive it not to say the a man in his 40/50 doesnt .If the woman feels good then why the heck not .Age is only a state of mind and beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway .:gorgeous:

women should wear whatever they want at any age as long as it flatters them (if they want to look good, that is. if they don't care about looking good then they can wear whatever they want).

the problem is really not that women wear clothing that is too tight, its that some women lack a sense of style. Which is fine, but the same woman that wears unflattering clothes at the age of 50 probably didn't wear flattering clothes when she was 20 either.

fancy dresses and makeup/perfume is disgusting...so is stupid expensive underwear and lace bras...

 

I've never worn a mini skirt and never will. It's not my personality for one, and for another, I don't have the figure for it.

Though I don't think it's for anyone to dictate to anyone else what they should or shouldn't wear, regardless of age.

 

Yup. For sure!! Age doesn't matter so much as genetics and a motivation to be healthy and look nice.

 

People should be able to wear what they want to wear, if they have the confidence to do it good on them.

 

I don't mean the body is not still banging I know it is mmmm mmmm but the body is not the point I think it's like inappropriate and looks tacky.n

 

fo sho, my sister is 35 and i'm 27 and I think she looks better in a miniskirt than I do.

As for the obvious, some women don't wear clothes that suit their body type for a number of reasons. Some are intentional, and some aren't. Some want the attention (even if it is negative).

As for wee old ladies, they'll always bash us younger chicks for lookin' cute. Clothes haven't just become more "revealing" over the years, but style has become more independent and women wear whatever the heck they want.

Overall, lots of women wear what they please. Old or not. It makes them seem more exciting, don'tcha think?

As for me, I fear the day I can't wear mini skirts. I effing love em. I'm going to preserve my youth for as long as physically possible. lol

you're right though. i think tee shirt and sweatpants is about the sexiest thing a woman can wear. other than maybe underwear or nothing of course.
