Wouldn't it be better to get someone you know to do it, rather than some weirdo you don't know from hipforums. :D

Try craigslist. It's safe and full of people that will surely want to twist your hair for you.

I've had dreads before so keep your wax in your own head, moldy dread boy. And my friends mom hooked me up at the time. I'm not a first timer although my stint with them was short lived due to cutting them for a funeral. Alas, fact remains, I didn't do them myself the first time, I'm not doing neglect, I want them to be relatively uniform, and it would take me forever to do it on my own.
60-70k posts, I'm sure I couldn't stereotype that into something, I'll just stick with saying that's sad, maybe it wouldn't be if the time frame was longer than 3 1/2 years.

And I don't mind random people, was in a metal band for a few years and we stayed at tons of random people's places when out and about playing

The amount of posts means nothing, Tuga.

It's just the way Hipforums is. Mostly they aren't trying to be /mean/, more like tough love.

I could have just deleted this thread based on the lousy non-searchable title....

but decided to try and add some humour in it instead

    turn your frown upside down

If someone decided to search for something this thread had the potential to pertain to... "kentucky"
Then it would still come up under a general search in the dreadlock forum, as the most recent topic with that word in it. So deleting the thread based on it being unsearchable holds no validity. But instead it has apparently turned into a bit of education to the interplanetary explorer from the guest.
The bad part is, I can even understand British humor to a certain degree, but I didn't quite grasp yours, I put myself at fault for that I suppose.
