This is why the Canadian police are awesome!

Alright so my friends and I had spent a good hour maybe hour an half hotboxing my friend's car. The necessary drive to McDonalds soon came after... On the way to McDicks we turned a blind corner and ran into a random checkpoint for drunk drivers. Rolled down the window (we had tried to air it out earlier) before we say anything the cop says, "I can smell it.." So we go and park at this closed farmer's market thing and all get out. They proceed to search the car finding two bongs and 8 grams of weed. We handled it in just being as honest as possible just saying all that needed to be said nothing more nothing less. Now he then started to find very unusual things in the car of which included a part of a lamp that we were eventually going to transform, a pepper shaker (which he emptied on the ground) and a bottle of Jack Daniels that had been filled with fruit punch to keep us hydrated. Anyways, we didn't get a criminal record and my friend didn't get a dui, all we got is what's called a ghost record. Employers can't find it, but police in the area now have our names, which really isn't that big of a deal. Truly something to laugh about later.

 

VERY lucky. Where are you in Canada. I recently moved to Georgia in the US and the police here suck to the highest degree of suck.

Most cops generally don't care about weed, but I'm surprized about them not caring about driving and weed and such.

I'd chalk it up to being very lucky and that your age had a factor.
If it was me, dollars to donuts I'd have been busted huge.

 

If you are respectful and honest and help the cop do his/her job he/she will likely not make a big deal of cannabis. Likely it will be confiscated and smoked by him/her later.

 

Mr.Writer is right .just say yes ser or mam and just tell them just what they want to hear and nothing more. you will be surprised at what you can get way with. they love it when you act a fool so they can beat your ass. most cops are cowards behind there badges.

 

Nah man, when I was sleeping in a bank, got woke up by cops, they just took my weed, put me in their station or whatever (to drunk, high), the next day, they let me go to wonder the streets again.

Haha thats awesome. The only time I ever dealt with the police was when I got into some small fender bender (the other guy thought the cops where necessary for some reason) and they were really cool. I've never encountered a dick cop and neither have any of my friends, must be a canadian thing.

 

lets be honest...the dumb part is hotboxing where there was a chance of a ride program....canada has just as many dick cops as anywhere....you just were very lucky....ive met plenty prick coppers and a few nice popo

 

Yeah for sure man, you definitely got lucky. If it was TO cops I'm not surprised though, cause they have bigger fish to fry (or at least the ones I've come across have that kind of attitude). "Ghost Records" can be annoying around here because they aren't anything official, it's basically Police computer gossip. They take into account where they encountered you, and what you were suspected of doing/caught for. Sometimes cops feel like assholes and write a bunch of B.S. in it so other cops treat you like shit. Sounds like they went pretty easy on you, and that shouldn't be the case. Take care man.
