I want to see an episode of Hoarders where they go to a persons house like the ones they go to on American Pickers. Junk everywhere, but valuable junk. Anyway the Hoarders crew is all serious like they usually are and the family's all upset, and the "hoarder" is just like wtf? The Crews like you need to throw out 75% of what you have, and the hoarders like thats $15,000 worth of stuff.. Nobody believes him, they're like its just old junk! LOL idk... I'm stoned and i thought of that and it kind of brings a new light to "hoarding"
I've thought the same thing too! But seriously why don't they get somebody to look at the stuff and say what it's worth. But some of those places yuck! Like the ones where the bathroom is stuffed and the just go in a corner....
Omg i know right.. Ive seen it and they have bottles of piss just laying around and they dont even think twice about it. Like seriously just toss it outside... I have no idea how you can live literally on top of 3 feet of garbage and be ok with it

i love getting rid of old shit. any shit actually. even new shit. if i don't use it i'll probably get rid of it. i feel much better if i get rid of something than if i get something. most people hold on to useless junk because of an emotional/financial investment... they feel this way about it or they paid this much for it... but the practical thing to do is junk it. if it's not serving you, or you don't think it ever will, then junk it.

Often these people believe what they have is valuable, but it is not. I saw one where a guy was convinced he had his gradkids college funds in scarap metal. Turns out his thousands of pounds was worth a few grand, and it was taken up acres of land.
