curious...have never used anything like ayuhuasca(?)but saw a documentary about the church of santo daime and am very intrigued... I am seeking enlightment, clarity, renewal. Any advice/suggestions where I should start. I have done x, opium, pot. Love all that stuff. The x was the closest I ever came to this experience I'm looking for. I never dabbled with lsd, did shrooms once, and it was too stimulating for me. Tried kratom, with NO results. (Perhaps my opiate tolerance is too high.) i take xanax for anxiety and panic disorder and i was always afraid i'd have a bad trip. my sister is a devout acid child and swears i should/need to experience it, and assures me with the right person guiding me through the trip, i'll be fine. DMT really appealed to me because of the more spiritual aim, and it natural origin as opposed to other hallucinagens. I am looking for that deep, spiritual, euphoric experience. The thought of seeing aliens scares the crap out of me. lol. any advice?
lsd can be very spiritual in my experience. you shouldn't rule it out just because it's "not natural." there are plenty of things in nature that are very harmful, and man-made substances that are perfectly safe. i have no idea about ayahuasca or oral dmt, but vaporized dmt seems like it can get pretty friggin deep. i've only tried it 3 times, and just scratched the surface though.
Vaped/smoked dmt can be an incredibly powerful experience but because of its intensity and short duration it can be hard to integrate a lot of the experience into your everyday life. Ayahuasca sounds more like what you're looking for but I don't have personal experience with that. San Pedro cacti which contains mescaline can produce a great experience, It's euphoric somewhat like x but hallucinogenic as well and it can make you feel renewed with a clarity of mind. It's also been used sacramentally so it has spiritual potential. Lsd is a great psychedelic too, its probably more forceful than San Pedro too if you take a solid entheogenic dose but can produce all those qualities you are looking for.
X, opium, and pot, are not likely to help you out in the anxiety department. Well, pot might (makes it worse for most people), and real MDMA (not "x") can be a very positive experience, but will mostly help you with opening up emotionally, letting your guard down a little more, etc, might not address your specific anxiety at all. Don't even waste your time with opiates they are just addictive soul killers that make you feel on cloud 9 when you're on them but don't provide any lasting benefits. I think your sister is trying to share some wisdom with you. I think you should do a lot of research on LSD and then take some, I did and it helped me with my anxiety more than any other psychedelic. I'm surprised you found shrooms too stimulating, I've never heard that before. You should know that basically every psychedelic is stimulating, because what they are doing is increasing mental activity dramatically, so there's going to be a corresponding sense of greater energy within you. DMT will be just as stimulating as shrooms. I wouldn't get too hung up about the source of the psychedelic, LSD is half natural and half synthetic, but really does it matter whether the thing that helps you in your life was made accidently from millions of years of natural selection and random mutation or through careful labwork by a scientist? There are many safe synthetic psychedelics and many dangerous natural ones. Ayahuasca is completely natural but it's much, much more toxic to you than the semi-synthetic LSD is. The whole aliens/DMT thing is something I take issue with. I think entity contact is a personal manifestation of trip content and nothing more. I think entities are mental metaphors. I don't think that you swallowing a drug lets you meet aliens, or even gods, but it might just let you see that maybe, in some way, in every way, you are god. Good luck to you. Remember the whole point of psychedelics is to take your mind to the ultimate frontiers of cognitive landscapes, it is not easy. It is not for the weak-hearted. It is hard work, and it will push you and strain you until you BREAK. Then you can be reborn
Aya feels more natural than anything I could put in my body and leaves me feeling clean and vibrant afterwards. It feels totally unlike a drug and more like a spiritual experience. It is a very thorough, powerful healing. I am positive that aya is safe and nontoxic when prepared in the right way. The requirements of the MAOI diet are really overstressed and though its good to be cautious Ayahuasca contains reversible MAOIs that are short acting and can be taken pretty safely even when breaking the diet. I wouldn't say LSD and aya are interchangeable or start to compare them.. both have inherent value and risks associated with them. The op sounds like she would be better off from a good dose of Aya. If ladylovelylocks is looking to explore the mind I would say take LSD. If she is looking for healing and spiritual transformation I recommend ayahuasca.
I'm glad I didn't try dmt before having many intense LSD/mushroom trips under my belt. Not that the experiences are comparable, but you will learn the best thing to do under a heavy dose of any psychedelic is try not to impose any kind of control on the experience. Just go with the flow.
yes, i agree, the pot does worsen the anxiety, which makes me sad, cause I've always enjoyed it recreationally. I appreciate such a thorough response, as this is very much uncharted waters for me. I wish I had the first clue of how to obtain true MDMA, as well as the San Pedro cacti. either I don't hang with the right people, or it's just my area (suburb of milwaukee). I do think possibly lsd could be the gentlest transition into my experimentation with hallucinagens. that i know is available to me, as well.
is it not uncommon to exerience vomiting or "purging" and part of this experience? also, i'm unfamiliar with the MAOI diet requirement. I had never heard of this wonderous drug until I saw this docu. taking place in a Santo Daime congragation, where it was regularly administered to children as young as toddlers. My thought was, if they give it to children, i should be able to handle it...maybe, maybe not.

Yes vomiting is common but it doesn't always happen. The first few times I threw up quite a bit considering how little I had been eating (quinoa and salad) all week and fasting for 24 hours. It definitely cleans the gunk outta ya. Sometimes people purge from both ends... luckily though I've never had the spraying shits that some people get with aya :2thumbsup: knock on wood. the MAOI diet is often stressed because of the active nature of the beta-carbolines in Ayahuasca vine which could have interactions with some medications and foods. It's important to fast before taking the aya so you aren't dealing with stomach issues all night or having weird interactions from the alkaloids in your food. The children in the trabaljos of the santo daime drink a little sip. Not even enough for a full dose to their body weight. The Adults are not crazy and know to give kids smaller doses. Santo Daime is not everybody's cup of tea as most people aren't used to staying up all night singing about Jesus in Portuguese while dancing in synchronized lines under the effect of powerful psychedelics. I bet you could brew your own and drink it with a trustworthy friend to watch over you. Probably most would recommend finding a guide but I don't see whats wrong with trying to meet the aya on your own grounds as long as you are respectful.
Morning glories or HBWR are pretty powerfull and natural http://www.erowid.org/plants/morning_glory/morning_glory.shtml LSD is less toxic though and if I were you I'd be hitting your sister up to go get you some :sunny:
