I suppose, I am fortunate to live in -50C, or colder winter my life. Winter can not become worse to us! Only when it drop below -60C, brrrrr. :freezing:

However, is terrible to know in Europe people are dead from this.

are there homeless people outside at -50?

little updatre: the cold wave will be over for parts of western europe in about 72 hours.
In eastern and south eastern europe the cold will stay.

In the next 48 hours there will be 20cm and more of new snow in the middle of Italy.

At the moment the situation is critic in Serbia and surrounding countries with thens of thousands of people trapped in remote areas by masses of snow, running out of food.

Now about a month later nature is slowly coming back to life, however there are still pockets of cold in europe, especially the big amounts of snow in (south) eastern europe an elswhere in the mountains specially with a risk of flooding in case of warm weather and rain/wind, at the opposite sie of the mountains there is a serious drought along the southern mountain chains because of dry northern FOEHN winds.
