I say that tea in a store, the other week, and had read that is supposed to be a natural laxative Can anyone tell me if it really works and if there are nay dangers in taking it? The on line reviews on it are rubbish or incomplete.
Do you want to use the tea as a laxative or for weight loss, it might be great as a laxative but it wont make you lose weight, only a correct diet and exerise will do that for you. These off the shelves products make amazing claims but they more often than not dont work well at all.
If it is a laxative it shall make you lose weight, as laxatives cause all of your nutrients to come out of your body and fat is a nutrient after all. So that shall affect your weight. I do take your point, however, that a tea sounds like a very unlikely way of causing such strong reactions on your body, as the ones mentioned. Plus the only review on it is of a person on it who claims she felt as though she was becoming lighter when she took it, as though she was afraid that she really weighed herself then the results would be shocking in a negative way. Not even a disappointed customer wrote to say that it did not work. That’s so strange.
Why the hell would you want to lose weight in a way that would "cause all of your nutrients to come out of your body?" Friggin change your diet and start exercising! For the life of me I can't understand why people ALWAYS try and find ways around that. Typical America--instant gratification, everything has to be fast, easy, and convenient. There's no sense in taking a laxative to lose weight--tea or otherwise, and yes it can be very dangerous. You can get electrolyte imbalances, which can cause cardiac dysrhythmias among other things, and you may get dependent on them so that you have to take them or you're chronically constipated.
Rofl, Thanks so much for your consern. I appreciate it a lot. To answer your question I want to lose weight more badly than I want nutrients to stay inside my body or to diet or to have to say no to nice tasty food. I thinkk it is a natural instinct to want to make life as easy for yourself as possible. I certainly do not need to tell you why.
Using laxatives to lose weight (whether it's a pill or a tea) is considered a form of bulimia, in which case you need more help than you can get on an internet forum, though something tells me you wouldn't want it anyway since you're probably still in denial. Just don't be surprised when you're never satisfied with any of the results. Without a lifestyle change, the weight ALWAYS comes back, and some studies have shown that yo-yo weight loss may be more harmful to your health than not losing weight at all. But there I go again, talking about health--a subject you're clearly not interested in. I apologize. You're right--weight loss should be for vanity reasons only. You're playing with fire here, I was just giving you fair warning. It's your body, destroy it all you want.
I agree with everything Strawberry is putting down here. As a 51 year old bodybuilder/personal trainer who has fought a weight problem all his life I will reaffirm that without a lifestyle change you are destined for failure. There is no "quick fix" other than eating well/clean, maintaining a calorie deficit and adding resistance training and cardio exercise to prevent loss of lean body mass (muscle) while dieting. 2 years ago I dropped 45 lbs in 4 months through a regimen of strict/clean diet and exercise. I had to. My doc said I was on my way to diabetes, I was already on meds for blood pressure and cholesterol and he said if I didn't lose some weight, he'd have to put me on stronger meds. 3 months after that "wake up call" I was 30 pounds lighter w/ perfect blood work. My doc took me off meds completely. As you said, you don't need to say "why" you want to lose the weight so ?I thought I'd share with you why I had to. It takes commitment, effort, and desire, but you can lose weight fairly rapidly and do it the right way.
I can't simply spout off a diet without knowing my audience. As a trainer, I tailor a diet/fitness regimen based upon many factors of my client...Age, weight, body composition, existing medical condition(s), goal(s), and desire. If you'd like more info, we can talk via PM if you'd like. That being said, as a "Rule of Thumb" I would say a diet that limits simple carbohydrates (sugar...especially fructose) and saturated fats is a start. Increase your intake of bulk forming fiber with psyllium and lots of veggies. 30 minutes of cardio where you elevate your heart rate will help you attain your goal(s) even faster. HTH
After hearing all of that criticism towards fitne, when I saw it last night I thought I had to have it. Since so many people are against it it must be really good, I thought. After a dull stomach ache I had diarrhea this morning. As someone here remarked, fitne is bulimia in a tea bag, but in a good way.
I've struggled with laxative abuse and let me tell you, it can really fuck up your body, so I'd personally stay away from it. What's wrong with regular tea?! It's better to focus on being healthy instead of "losing weight". Um, did you really just say "bulimia in a bag, in a good way"? Nothing about any eating disorder could be a "good way".
Ordinary tea does not make me lose weight. Is it really laxative abuse if it comes in the form of a tea that is to be consumed for weight loss purposes? Besides it is a natural laxative, which comes from the senna leaf. It's not one of those laxative pills. How was your body fucked up anyway?
Hahahahaha. Oh my. Well it certainly will make you lose weight. But there's a big difference between losing weight and losing fat. You'll lose weight alright but your just going to be shitting out water weight. I can lose 10 pounds in 3 days by manipulating my water intake. I've done so for various weight lifting competitions in order to compete in certain weight classes. But it's just water weight, your ass will still be fat as ever, except now you are dehydrated and have diarrhea. I think people should ditch the scale and go by measurements or how they look in the mirror/photos. Body weight is variable depending on the contents in the stomach, the bowels (which can store up to 10 pound of shit by the way), hydration levels, glycogen levels in the muscles and a host of other factors.
I have been taking fitne for years, not every day, but when i need or want it. I dont take it to lose weight, although it does keep it off. I use it as a detoxifier. After everything is out, i feel fantastic like ive got rid of all the toxins in my body. Its more like a colonic. As long as you drink loads of water, eat healthy etc then i think its really good for you. I have the capsules as the tea makes me wretch!
