Someone in a doctor office accuses a barefoot father of child neglect because his son is also barefoot, and said they would be notifying social services.

I cannot believe the stupidity of this medical professional, and the ongoing fight for personal barefoot freedom you have to endure....why is America so fucking dumb and ignorant! Come down to NZ, hell if all the barefoot children were reported to child welfare the system would grind to a complete halt! I would have been reported on a shit load of times, my two boys dont even own a pair of shoes!:2thumbsup:

thats a shame people are so small minded, im not a barefooter, god i live in london in the UK man that would hurt ALOT lol but i do believe when it comes to personal choices like this that really isnt causing u or your kids harm should be left at just that, "personal choice", i do hope he told this man where to go and im sure child services would not take this complaint seriously they must have more important things like beaten and neglected children to deal with.

A barefoot village would be a real nice change for most of us....I'd do it. Make visitors leave shoes outside the gates.....

society is way too sterile these days. When I was a kid I only wore shoes to school and church and during the winter and no one ever made a big deal about it.

    Yeah, The Big Fish style...

But, to get back to the topic, or rather, connect them: a commune of barefooting people would make sure to stand up as a group and teach the people the plain truth about barefooting - that it's fun, healthy, makes people happy, feels good, refreshes, relaxes and energizes, shows humility and respect, lets us connect with Mother Nature... and all that at once, too!

Children should be brought up with their feet happily bare, if they choose to and after they're taught by their barefoot peers and elders how to walk and live barefoot. If they then decide "I never wanna wear shoes anymore", no matter at what age, it's their considerate decision and not to be questioned. Period.

Of course, that would be in an ideal world. But, it's not made of Unobtainium. It can be obtained and this dream fulfilled, too...

That video makes me so angry I can't really form a reply. If someone had said the same to me as I was with my barefoot children I would have either gone quiet or flipped.
