I woke up last night to turn my DVD player off, and I could even walk or stand up, I fell right to the ground. My whole body was numb, like when your foot goes to sleep. I woke up remembering this about a half hour ago. I was napping the other day, and the side of my hands was twitching it felt like pins and needles and that’s how it felt last night only it was in my arms and legs. anyone ever get something like this. I hope it doesn't happen again and something major happens

I do take Thyroid meds. I had my blood sugar tested like 4-5 months ago and it was fine along with my cholesterol

126/ 82 was my blood presser. that's a little high for me. I have not exercise in 3 days maybe that's why?

Yeah, it doesn't sound like anything to worry about. And 126/82 is completely normal blood pressure for anyone, it's not high at all. You sound way too anxious about all this, considering it's only happened once or twice.

    thanks for the reply :)

It happened to my whole body only once, but it happened on the side of my hands when I was napping a few times It was so bad I had to wake up and shake it out, it's not like I could shake my whole body out. It was scary not being able to walk and not knowing what was going on. I had took 2 hits of some pot that night before bed. I didn't smoke the last 2 nights and nothing has happened. Not saying the pot had anything to do with it. I just thought it would be a good idea, to go too bed without being buzzed

It sounds like you could have some spinal nerve entrapment.

Try not sleeping on your side instead lay on your back put a pillow under your knees to stabilize your pelvis. Use a smaller pillow under your head this will help your spine to realign. Unless you have breathing problems with a little determination and self programing this is doable.

It is not uncommon to want to lay on the side that nerves are entrapped on or has been injured. People who have low blood pressure should avoid laying on their left side while sleeping.

I had scoliosis as a kid; I'm fused all the way down. Have rods in my back. I’m thinking I might need new mattress. I will give what you said a try. Going to try and take a nap in my mom’s bed and see how that goes

I got a new mattress. my back doesn't seem to hurt as much as when I wake up. I talked to the doc on monday she said it could be how a person sleeps at night all curled up. she checked me for diabetes and that was fine :)

I am glad you do not have diabetes. Have you tried sleeping on your back?

It’s going ok I guess. Nothing happening at night, I took a nap yesterday and all going down the side of my hands it started. I think I was dreaming. Every time I would go back into the dream it would happened again. So I had to get up. Couldn't sleep like that anymore
