I just learned this in my psych class today, here are the essentials. If you have a ritual with smoking weed, such as sitting on the couch in the living room, your brain will anticipate what you're about to do, and start building up against it, thus making more necessary to get the same effect. So, to prevent this, change up your routine. Smoke in the kitchen, on the porch, in the bathroom, basement, you name it, just change it up! Your brain won't expect what you're about to do, and won't build up against it, so less weed for the same high. :2thumbsup: This is also good to keep in mind if you use more hardcore substances. Some people have OD'd using the same amount they always do but in a different setting. So in that case, if you're using in a different place, don't use as much as you usually do, you might just save your life.
that's cool, i never thought of it like that. but i only want to get high on less weed when i'm scrounging at the bottom of the bag. otherwise i don't really care how much i go through
Set and setting can dramatically alter the effects of psychedelics, weed is a mild psychedelic. It's good advice to perhaps use less of a drug in a setting you are unfamiliar with but the way this is presented right here is extremely speculative information. If someone is taking the same dose of a drug and it is well below it's toxic levels, OD'ing in a different setting has as more to do with the setting couple'd with possible side effect(s) of the drug regardless of setting than it does the drug all of a sudden becoming toxic. For instance if you take a drug that can cause dehydration, you're probably more likely to OD in a cramped, hot club with difficult access to water than you are taking the same drug on your backporch.
Hmm i never took notice of this, besides wake'n bake im usually doing something else than the day before when i toke...guess it could be the reason im a light toker.
Also, eat a mango around half hour before smoking, mangoes have a chemical naturally found in marijuana called Myrcene that helps facilitate the movement of THC between the Blood-Brain barrier. MEANING! Your brain will absorb the THC faster and get you higher
i remember learning about this in first year psychology. and by first year, i mean only year, because i dropped out after that. i assume this is also transferable to different smoking devices too. your brain knows what's going to happen when you sit down to roll up a joint, but if you mix up the way you smoke, i'd think it would have more of an effect.
that makes sense. i smoked at my friends everyday for a week than i smoked at a different friends house inside rather than outside and it was way better....thought the weed was just better haha
ive notived this to be true sometimes especially in the same day. like if youve been smoking in the same room all day and you switch up the setting
I would try this but I have no motivation to get off the couch after the big blueberry yum yum blunt I just smoked :ssmokeit:
