Story lines in porn; why does anybody like them?

Serious question.

I think you have to be very serious about your porn watching if you actually like the stories

Or maybe the opposite.

I mean, I am kind've ashamed to admit that I have more porn on my computer than anything else (around 130gb); and story lines are just annoying things I have to skip through, that drive up my space management issues.

I just don't get it. If you want a good sexual storyline, you watch an erotic movie, then wait for the fuck scenes to whack it. If you just want to get off -- why would you want to watch a terribly acted adolescent fantasy?

 

I skip to the good part.. Fuck the rest!

I was so happy when dvds came out...it made it so much easier to fast forward past the crap on those VHS tapes

 

I researched this quickly because it's an interesting question. I did not find an answer but I did find this:

That's not true.

Gonzo porn quite often has storylines; it just has a POV camera (often handheld by the male porn star), or an "active" cameraman.

that makes sense. i do spend a lot of time on my spaceship, and i often like to fantasize that my shipmate would strip down and fuck me.

 

I actually LOVE storylines in porn. I love to see the sex happening in a context. It makes it much easier to connect emotionally with the performers which makes it much more erotic to me. BUT the big problem is most storylines in porn are rubbish and most of the hottest action is in scenes from "gonzo" type rather than feature so unfortunately I takes what I gets!

 

Agreed. A good story line is great, it can really help you get turned on. Second to that I quite like a good scenario, like a massage that turns into a fuck or a interview to be a porn star that includes some "audtioning."

But badly acted scenes are the worst. I also hate when they sit the girl down before the sex starts and ask her a bunch of stupid questions. Why do I care where she went to school or what bands she likes?

 

Gonzo scenes suck. They all look like they're straight out of magazines, but without the artistic photographers.

I can dig a good, super short scenario, I guess. But the only good storylines are long drawn out ones in softcore porn made for women. (The type that used to play on Oxygen.)

But what really makes me connect emotionally is if it's the type of girl or guy I'd really want to be with. A star who puts their personality into their work; Faye Reagan, Lexi Belle, Stoya. Unfortunately, can't find any males that really do it..

And then, isn't amateur porn a context in and of itself? These are two people really connecting, in many cases, really loving each other. What could be easier to relate to than that?

 

I like storylines. But I hate when they go on for about 20 minutes before any actual sexual contact is made. A quick 2-3 minute intro to sex is always good. It makes it sexier IMO. I like to know "who" they are and how they got naked.
