Hey, first post... but anyways i have some acid that is supposedly 150 ug's in each. whether it's true or not is irrelevant. I've tripped 4 times in the past so i know what to expect but this would be the first time taking it while on prescription medications. I'm currently on 200mg of wellbutrinSR and 1mg of klonopin daily. which has totally been a helpful combo for me. My concern is would either of those meds effect my trip? I really want to drop the acid but I'm just concerned if mixing it while on those meds could be a bad idea. any input would be greatly appreciated ?
i believe wellbutrin is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor), which means it will interfere with your brain's ability to trip. i don't THINK it's necessarily dangerous, but you either won't trip or will need a larger dose.
Wellbutrin is a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, or NDRI. Does that make any difference?
Klonopin is a benzodiazepine and I've found xanax (also a benzodiazepine) will decrease the intensity of my trips. I've never had any experience with Klonopin (Clonazepam).
Well I could always skip my klonopin dose for that day so it shouldn't be a big dea on that front. But google has given me mixed reviews. Was hoping that someone here has taking LSD on Wellbutrin. I'm going to go for it anyways. If I freak out or just have a bad reaction I could just take a klonopin to calm me down in theory right?
my GUESS would be that a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor won't lessen a psychedelic dose AS MUCH AS an SSRI would, but it still probably will a little bit. benzos definitely weaken psychedelic effects. as you probably know, they are often used to "abort" trips.
thanks for the input everyone. since klonopin has such a long half life ill make sure not to take one leading up to tripping. i believe it's half life can last anywhere from 18-50 hours.
