I saw a post on Facebook about natural food and products... " Just heard on the news today! They are confiscating, armed weapons, breaking in and searching anyone selling anything natural! Fresh cows milk confiscated and people treated like criminals! Fox 10:00 tonight! You have been singled out! Expect a visit!" How messed up is this? What the hell is their problem? Don't they have more important issues to deal with than coming down on the little just trying to survive? Just thought I'd post this to give you a heads up, in case you haven't heard about it yet.

So, you saw this on Facebook and you did nothing to verify if it is true before re-posting it? Wow, you're pretty gullible and irresponsible.
Yet its totally legal and 'all American'' to take your kids to shoot deer and drag it thru the dirt, hang it up in the sun, butcher it three days later and feed it to family. But try to give your neighbors steak's or milk from a organic fed, pesticide and hormone free cow and your breaking the law! Thank Monsanto's and and the Big Beef lobbyists for that!
Ok there Sunfighter, maybe I did jump the gun, but I have friends that know about this stuff and was told this has been going on few a few years now... maybe I heard about it before and just forgot and it shocked me awake again...whatever... am I wrong for trying to give a heads up or should I stay quiet?
Your post was irresponsible in a number of ways. Your thread title says "gov", implying government, but nowhere do you say which government. Your statement is clearly false, because no where in the world is it illegal to sell "natural" things -- perhaps some specific natural things that are harmful are illegal. You imply that Fox is a news outlet when it is simply a propaganda outlet for the rich and powerful. You say "they" without saying who "they" are. You have shown yourself to be a rumor-monger, a spreader of fear, and someone who doesn't think it's important to verify something before passing it along.
It's probably a good idea to verify something through a couple independent sources before presenting what merely meets the criteria of rumor before presenting it as fact. Not to worry, I've done that myself- got so pissed off at seeing something that I'd post it as though it were fact... so while I do have an issue with it, it's not as though I'm above such things myself. The problem as I see it is if rumors are allowed to go viral and are not only debunked in a painfully visible way the process has the added effect of discrediting people who are diligently pointing out government misconduct in general. Kinda like the story of the boy who cried "wolf"- not that I think you're not sincere but the effect would be the same if you weren't. Enough unsupported and ultimately debunked rumors will tend to pre-discredit anyone willing to blow the whistle and furnish cover for what the government and the corporations pulling its puppet $tring$. Don't lose the passion though...
