The 'Music' forum gets little to no traffic, hence my reason for posting this here. One of the best albums I've heard in years was released last month by this group from Finland called Pepe Deluxé. Up until just a few days ago, I had never heard of this band, though they have been making albums since 1995. They started out making trip-hop music, and this latest album is basically a modern-day psychedelic album steeped in electronics with some awesome electronically produced beats. This album is a modern-day rock opera, but more so it's a pop opera. This is one of the most cohesive, mature, well put together albums I have heard in a long time. It really is a solid listen all the way through, and I HIGHLY recommend everyone check this album out. This album is currently ranked #1 for 2012 albums on the RateYourMusic website.

Intresting, ive never heard of pop opera before or any of those genres of music but yeah once my youtube video thing works again ill be sure to check them out, just favorited them. Good looks dude!!
It's not called "pop opera," it's simply being described as that. It's got a very thematic, epic quality to it. That's why the album needs to be listened to from beginning to end.
Ohh i see, well i listened to the first song and i thought it was weird...Awesome musical instruments, not my type of music though....Ill listen to the other songs first though before i make my final judgement!!
