Hey! So I've been using using OxyContin and oxycodone for about 5 years. Recently my friend suggested trying hydromorph as it is "much better" according to her. I picked up some 3mg capsules, and some 4 mg tabs. I snort about 10 mgs at a time, and I don't seem to be feeling anything! I read that hydromorph is supposed to be stronger than oxy.... So I kept my dose low. I usually do about 20mg of oxy at a time, so should I up my dose with the hydromorph? Any similar experiences? How much should I be taking to feel good?

    Thanks!!!

Pharmacologically speaking, Hydromorphone is significantly stronger than Oxycodone on a weight basis. HydromorphContin is extended release, so it can be crushed to deliver the full dose at once, if you are looking for recreational use. However, if you want pain relief just take the capsules un-changed orally. Just be careful about not taking too much and running into respiratory depression.

In terms of euphoria, Hydromorphone is superior to Oxycodone by most people's accounts but has a low bioavailability so it isn't that good for abusing.
