Does anybody here have a family member who always puts you down or am i the only one ,

My mom does that all the time and used to all throughout my childhood, I haven't spooken to the piece of shit that most would call a "mother" in 2 years...and my life has been awesome without her in it:2thumbsup:

I hate it when people think that just because they share the same family tree it gives them a free pass to treat people like shit. Sometimes it's like a "if you're not like me you are nothing".

My little family is suffering bad lately I don't know what to do now. There's only so much advice and support you can give, I want to put my energy into more positive things. I'm getting resentful!

This is pretty much my case, I think I talk the most shit about my family and they all just think Im awesome

 

I don't talk to people who bring me down. I have aunts and uncles that act a little too good for me, but I only have to see them at funerals these days, and they pretend to like me when I'm crying. lol

I have two cousins that do this. I can't stand either one. My one cousin lives in Vermont, so I dont see him much. But he thinks he is perfect and is always starting shit. My other cuz lives here so it fucking sucks because he is alway calling and he acts like he is smarter than everyone.

 

Nope, you aren't the only one. My mom says im "cheap" (just because i have more no of guy friends than girlfriends)
you can't expect them to change the way they think all of a sudden. One has to be realy patient.

 

This is pretty much the same exact thing that I was gonna say. My mother, grandmother, and uncle are all dreadful people, and I haven't seen any of them in almost 2 years

 

I thought that was what families were for: put downs in exchange for mooching.
