She's a nasty self obsessed woman - very similar to Pattie Boyd from the same era. I'm waiting on Anita Pallenbergs autobiography - now THAT would be worth reading! :daisy:
2 dead: Jimi Hendrix and Freddy Mercry(sp?) 2 alive: Simon Posford and Raja Ram (both are from Shpongle by the way, if you haven't heard them check them out on youtube )
Well, it's kind of like this: I may admire the musicians of my favourite music because it is really fucking good but I think our urge to hang out with them might not be answered in the same degree. Even if it was so though, most of my fav musicians are past their heyday and it would probably only go about their music. I dunno, I've been backstage a couple of times and some of my friends get on guestlists and can go backstage all the time and I'm never tempted to go with them. Main thing about backstage is there are cleaner toilets and chances to get free booze. If I see a bandmember of an admired band I still don't feel like walking up to them, unless they just got of stage and come near me, I'm willing to give a compliment When I see famous people I just think why would I bother them with groupie-like questions they probably get all the time. A bit of chit chat near the merchandise stand about the performance is good enough for me. These are generally not talks with my absolute favourite musicians of course (since they don't sell their own stuff)
But you live in America, where every second person is famous! I don't see no famous people around my turf yo.. I go to Freo sometimes to see if I can find John Butler busking That would make my day.
Dead would be Joplin and Handel. Living would be K.D. Lang as I would like to know why she does not record more and Andrea Bocelli as that voice comes from somewhere that would be interesting to explore.
Sun Ra. Captain Beefheart. Don Drummond. Jimi Hendrix. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. John Coltrane. The first 3 when I want to argue, the last 3 when not. What do alive and dead have to do with anything?
