Cat person?

Are you a cat person? It seems you either love them or hate them.
I just got through talking to a redneck who said that he hates them with a passion and justified this by saying that they were killers. His arguement has some truth, but I believe that he and others like him really hate them for being FREE SPIRITS that more or less tolerate humans but have no great respect for them.
Dogs are cool too but they will go on respecting you even if you are an arsehole. I like to think that if my cat is still accepting me then I must be pretty cool.
If someone is a cat hater, look closely at them and you will see that under it all they are an arsehole!
My only problem is tabby coloured hairs on my black clothes... but then maybe I should dress to co-ordinate with my cat.

Controlling people don't like cats. They are difficult to herd. I love 'em and they are NOT all alike. They all seem to have differant personalities.

 

Ain't that the truth..... I've got 7 cats and no two are even similar in personality. Five of them are related too.

Sometimes they are killers... Sometimes not. I also have two birds right now, in the past I have had other cats and various numbers of birds. They interact but never in that killer response that is a learned behavior... If they don't learn it they would rather admire or even play.

I'm actually one of the rare people that's somewhere in the middle. I've had cats since I was 10 years old, I got my first cat as a bribe to make me stay at school during a particularly bad year of OCD, and my family cats were treated like family. My parents kinda just let them take charge of the house and be little assholes, lol. Now that I'm living on my own, I have 4 cats we rescued as babies, and while I love them, they are the biggest pains in the ass. lol. But I love cuddling cats and I like that they themselves don't really stink, just their litterboxes. And even if they are jerks and like to meow all night sometimes, I could never ever ever in a million years even think about intentionally hurting them.

It's not that I hate cats, I just like dogs better.

 

I can't help it...they love me. too. I like dogs fine, but there are so many dogs that their mouth is bigger than my face. (Like my current resident emotionally disturbed Jack, the border collie.) I can't help it...I would/will NEVER be scared of a cat the way I would be scared of a dog (excuse me) fucking me up with his big mouth that is as big as my face and/or throat.

Ty, I totally love that pic with the black cat and the crow....I have (among my crew) 2 solid black cats - BB (the black bob-tailed) and Sambo, a huge tom. We also have "Brownie", a PERFECT "tuxedo" cat (he has 2 perfect white diamonds on his tummy). Bright white whiskers...his foot leather matches his mix, pure solid black running down his head,back and tail. :sunny:

We have strictly outside/back porch 7 yr old Freckles, a tortoise shell. She is something else - and scared/grumpy with most other cars except for Sambo...whom we have had a little over a year, and she loves him to death. Cats really are hard to predict, and like y'all have said...each has his/her own personality.

We also have Buddy/aka "Old Soldier, orange MaineCoon/mut (unknown age, but probably over 12 yrs.& appeared old here in 2007), and 5 yr old Monkey Brown , the runt of a large group-litter. I've watched and buried a number of my beloved cats, and some dogs, too, along with way. Last winter wound up being particularly difficult as far as losing some of my cat companions.

All that being said ^ (lol) I would even be considered the "crazy cat lady" that lives with the old lady that still gets out and does yard work.

I have cats, can't live without animals. Anyone psychic usually needs animals as they communicate with the spirit world and protect the psychic individual. My cats come for a late night walk up the street with me. So cute..

 

I love cats, they're soo cute, soo plesent to pet and look at, I always loved them...but I still don't really have one of my own. But my dog IS a shiba inu and act's kind like a cat His cat-like traits are just as cute as can be!

 

My grand daughter's first cat walked around with us to trick or treat. She would just sit and wait for the GD to get back from a porch and then we would all walk to the next place and she would stroll along with us. She was so cute.

 

Yes i am! I am dying for a little kitten. I need something to love. My parents don't want one though because it will "scratch up the furniture" or some shit.

 

I gave 2 of 4 abandoned kittens to a lady I knew and the dumb-ass thought they could live on cows milk when they were tiny. The poor little guys died. If the mama is not around,they need soft food when they're tiny.
