Hey Im new to these forums and thought this would be a decent place for some insight into if anyone has had experience with using the dietry supplement called Phenibut ( β-phenyl-γ-aminobutyric acid)? It is said to have anxiolytic effects in both animals and humans and act similar to GHB and benzodiazepines. It is legaly available as a sleep aid and to reduce anxiety among a few other traits. I am mainly interested in this 'supplement' to reduce anxiety mostly but not limited to abusing certaint party supplies for quite a few years. I have tried all sorts of things that claim to be similar in action but most have just been a waste of money and gave me little to no benefit. I cant legaly get a constant amount of benzos so I am driven to try and source a form of self medication. I have heard alot about rapid tolerance build up with this substance and addiction but not alot else regarding the negative side effects. From what I have researched it does seem to work wonders with some people and horror stories with others. Basicly I would like to know if anyone has used this or knows of someone who has that it has helped or the complete opposite. Also any other dangers that may be associated with use. Thanks
I tried it once. It reminded me of a benzodiazepine. It really didn't have any euphoric properties at all, but I could certainly see its potential use for anti-anxiety if the user cannot tolerate or cannot get a doctor to prescribe them benzodiazepines.
