What is your interpretation? I like it. As a medium for myself I can't stand watercolor.. but people who know how to use it come up with some cool stuff. Keep Creating!
The top third makes me think of a nuke, or more precisely a rising thermal column as a meteor can create the same effect. The middle third, I read as a desert and the first signs of plant life. The bottom third makes me think of aquatic life being it's march towards transcendence, represented by the flame wreathed eye. What I find interesting is that this tells the theory of panspermia in visual terms. However, when viewing art we all bring are baggage to the table in regards to interpretation.
Thanks a lot, everybody! That's what I love about my art, there can be tons of interpretations because my art isn't a manifestation of anything 'real' you could say. It's pure abstract. I feel like I subconsciously add things to the images while I'm painting them that hold some personal significance, but otherwise, it's all up to the viewers soul.
Could you go into more detail pertaining to the theory of panspermia, or would it be easier for me just to research it on my own?
I'm really not sure how I personally interpret it. I was mainly experimenting with color and a really interesting fluidity that I can achieve through the use of watercolor. Also, I made this in art over two days whilst completely sober. Usually my best work is made while I'm smoking, so it's very comforting to get the confirmation that I can create something just as abstract and beautiful without marijuana.
