not as many people producing anymore,as well as it being increasingly hard to find legitimate LSD what with all the different research chemicals out now that are close enough to LSD for the average person especially one with no prior LSD experience to be none the wiser
also...INFLATION if a hit of L back in the 60s was $2, it makes sense that it would cost $10 today. but whether you can get potent doses is the real question. if so, they are worth plenty more than $10. lsd is priceless.
Demand isn't that high anymore... All the guys who made HUGE batches were mostly arrested by the early 2000's i hear, Now its all smaller-scale stuff, and most people just want to do ecstacy and whatnot anyway (Which i never understood). Depends where you are though, the potency, and how much you are buying. In Vancouver, i found its usually about 5$-10$ a hit... One time i bought 6 tabs for 20$ even! If you want it cheap, get bulk! I have a friend who used to sell Lucy and he would get 100 tabs for 180$
At festivals where the supply is high, I've seen it go for $3 a hit. In the city I've seen it go for $20 a hit. The demand has decreased, but the supply has decreased even moreso. At least outside of the festival scene.
Acid has always been one of the cheapest drugs you can buy even today. Even by today's standards all it takes it maybe 10 or 20, and you will have an experience that lasts several hours. Good stuff is still out there, you have to look for it though.
Expensive?! Wahhh!? Compare it to cocaine and it's mad cheap. I'd pay 100$ for a few hits of good acid before I'd pay 100$ for a gram of coke.
I have heard of it going from free to 20 bucks a tab. I cant even find the shit. Good clean lsd is priceless... I got scammed this month on some. :.(
It's not really that expensive. It's actually one of the cheaper drugs to get compared to certain others(to me, anyways). But also there's the fact that you need thousands and thousands of dollars worth in lab equipment, which certain instruments are hard to get considering you might need a special license to obtain them. Then there's the basic chemicals needed to even begin making LSD, which most are also very rare, expensive, and closely watched by the DEA, also requiring a DEA license to buy even the smallest amounts of these substances. Then, there's the lab experience, which could take years of studying and practice in organic chemistry. Plus, one wrong move in the lab could make a life and death difference for yourself and the other chemists around you. But as previous posters said, it's also supply and demand. LSD isn't really a ''mainstream'' drug anymore. Most people turn to pot or shrooms or drugs out there that's easier to get(you all know the list). So if you get real LSD these days that's cheap, then that's great, but there's also plenty of reasons why LSD would be more expensive, especially this day in age, too.
I never understood why its so cheap. 15 years ago I had felix the cats at my disposal for 100 a sheet. very strong at a buck a stamp. I seen people talking about 1400 for a sheet these days. It use to be about love and sharing. Those were the days
