It's never safe. Use protection and the pill. Only way to be safe is to completely abstain. The pull out method only works so long before it fails. Condoms can pop./break/rip (and have for me, which found using magnums are safer for longer sex and won't break since not too tight anymore)

Though ovulation is the period in which a woman is most fertile, 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the pms cycle, she can still get pregnant at any given time, even during her 'period', though the chances maybe lower, it is still recommended not to go bareback unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences.
(I.E. Morning after pill: best within hours of the 'transaction'|| Abortion: which is best avoided, IMHO.. I consider life at conception but we won't debate on that, everyone has their own choice || Or even ready to being a father before marraige, as you can technically consider parenting before birth.)

So get a pregnancy test, a first response are usually really good at earliest detection (from clinical studies I've read upon) but also seeing a doctor for their testing method which is quite similiar to that test, and also a different brand that is been proven reliable.

Also question.. Where do you live, it says you posted 'today' and you said the sex was on March 13, it's 5am PST (GMT -8)mMarch 12th here in Southern California. Unless you are in UTC +11 or +12 regions? Which should put you at midnight with your post I suppose?

I would think so. The window of ovulation when she can become pregnant is usually somewhere around 14 days after the first day of her period.
