An article from the L.A. Times that is a pretty damning nail in the coffin (pun intended) of those who argue for eating meat: All red meat is bad for you, new study says From the article: I didn't post this here to preach to the choir, but this information might be something that you could share with those that are 'on the fence' or still fighting the notion that red meat is good for you. As for me, I am still a pescetarian. My main issue with red meat (until NOW, at least) was the fact that commercial meat processing is so harmful to the environment. That got the ball rolling and then things like 'meat glue' and 'pinks lime' pretty much put me off for good. But the study makes strike three, so meat is OUT of my diet for good.
- Thanks for sharing, and congrats on deciding to step away from meat for good. It is not as hard as some people make it out to be. Part of the process is having the mental attitude to just put it out of your thought process. Mind over matter! Meat is indeed bogus. It really is quite laughable how the beef industry, and meat suppliers in general, keep giving the BS line about how *meat contains essentail proteins*. Absolute garbage marketing...and people beleive this crap! It has never been a better time to go Veg...or Pesce. It is much easier now to find the essentials you need at your own local stores. Enjoy...and good luck!
