I already asked "what don't you like about weed?" so now i'm just curious as to why you smoke weed, is it just to get "high"? or is there another reason?

Weed gives me that feeling of being a really little kid again. Like back in the elementary school days... everything used to seem so much more innocent and fun back then. Being high helps bring back all those fun memories and it almost makes you feel as if you're back in time :D

I also smoke it to help gain weight, and fall asleep at night.

Nobody has ever died from smoking pot.

    Marijuana users report less depression

Marijuana does not cause emphysema, unlike tobacco.

Marijuana does not cause cancer (and if you smoke it you are actually slightly less likely to get cancer)

THC actually helps cleanse the lungs, preventing tumors

    Daily marijuana use doesn

I would smoke for the same reasons.... but it's not available here, so I don't.

    Dammit!

Daily marijuana use doesn’t damage your brain.

There has never been a study to link marijuana with psychological problems, though it’s not for a lack of trying.

Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug.

    Marijuana fights hardened arteries

Marijuana has both stalled the growth of and eliminated brain tumors in rats. Such an experiment has yet to be done on humans.

Not that herd mentality is a good reason, but you’re not alone. Marijuana is the US’s number one crop.

Sex gets a whole lot better

15 million people smoke it a month (US only).

    Marijuana can prevent blindness.

    Marijuana can prevent migraines.

Marijuana is less addictive than caffeine. There is no physical addiction but a slight mental addiction can develop.

In 1977 the DEA wanted to decriminalize marijuana.

Haven’t you always wanted to be able to laugh at Pauly Shore?

Because legality isn’t a good enough reason for you to not smoke. Slavery was once legal and sodomy was once illegal; legality is a horrid barometer for morality.

Because getting “high” isn’t “bad.” Though you may not realize it, eating meat or candy or fried foods or vegetables or drinking coffee, tea, or soda all effect your mental state. All of these things can make you “high.”

Because we don’t yet know all of the benefits of marijuana; the government has tried for years to prove that it is harmful and has consistently failed. Very few studies have explored its benefits.

Because you would be in the company of Louis Armstrong, the Beatles, Bob Denver, Bill Clinton, George Bush (okay, never mind him), famous scientist Carl Sagan, Michael Bloomberg, Lewis Caroll, George Washington Carver, Salvador Dali, Al Gore, Steve Jobs, John kennedy, John Wayne, and George Washington.

    Because it feels good.

-Sources needed, intended more as a general concept.

When you are in "Pain Management" and can be tested at the drop of a hat for no reason other than a new state law they like playing with, it is a good reason not to smoke. I'm not receiving any benefit from "Pain Management" I'm not on opiates but they still can and do test whenever they feel like it... It's a Disability thing you probably wouldn't understand without further explanation. Suffice it to say I would rather live at home and not smoke than live in a jail cell and not smoke... The chronic pain would be the same either way.

    Aint that always the truth.

I grew up smokin' weed in CO, now they tell me it's one of the easiest and cheapest states.

Ever since the med boom and literal bust around here, I can't hardly get a doob but now and then. All my underground friends went legit or shut down...

Even though I NEED weed to carry on in this fucked up world, I refuse to commit what amounts to fraud to get a med card, and I certainly don't want my name on a list of admitted users of a scheduled 1 substance. I already have a felony conviction (for a mere 1/2 joint, AZ)
I personally don't trust the feds for 1 second.

It helps with my depression, anxiety and ptsd, I enjoy getting high, and it's helpful for nausea, headaches, hang overs, coming down from extasy, or whatever other unpleasantness I might experience.

My, what a list of things. It's fun, brings people together, gets my creative juices flowing, sex is great, masturbation is greater, food tastes amazing, my mood lifts, I dance better, I discover new tastes in music...

    Just to name a few.

It's good fun, I don't have another reason. I could twist it a bit and say I like deep thoughts, it's a mind expander etc. etc. but if it wasn't just plain fun getting high I would do it far and far less.

Definitely to relax after a boring day of work.
    It helps me with depression.
I use it to help with music writing sometimes. Only rarely though, large amounts don't help me with that too much I find.

    Plus, it's fun!
