Well.. many of what they claim he did, can be done. If your are fully awakened with the full power and connection of the mind and spirit, then there is very little you can do. And there is a chance this man did ascend to that level. And there are other stories that share resemblance. But the stories are overall majorly manipulated and many do come out of a work of fiction. but many of the proclaimed actions are plausible.

 

Jesus walked on water. He's an alien, he's gotta be able to walk on water.

It's one of the strangest modern ironies that the mainstream, conservative Christian right of today, would have denounced Jesus as a pinko, commie for his apparent views and teachings on social justice and especially his very violent and angry response to Usury and the money changers in the temple. They love to pick and choose which parts of "separation of church and state" they want to include or omit from their vision of how this nation should be governed.

 

Christianity did have a positive influence throughout Europe by giving people more reason to be moral. This turned out to be successful, as Christian societies prospered over non-Christian societies.

Negative: Well, it's incredibly debilitating to science and common sense now. Altruism is very established and people should know that what goes around comes around. They should not need fear of burning for eternity to keep them from being criminals.

I suppose in the case of the Bible, wouldn't God represent the 1 percent? In his case, it's not 1% have 90 something percent, it's 1% is omnipotent. I suppose atheism is their much needed Wall St. protest.
