I don't really get inspired by the individual's making music, I'm rather inspired by the music itself. For instance, I don't even know the members in my favourite bands. Don't know enough to care. It's just about the music.
Nice, exactly my experience. As of the inspiration from certain songs, well, any kind of song can inspire me but when I have to think of one that did inspire the most I'm not sure. I get inspired by nihilistic misanthropic black metal as well for instance. I'm neither nihilistic nor misantrophic (in general ), but I can get inspired by religious music as well for sure, and I'm not religious. So the list of songs would be endless
