I've read in numerous books on sexuality ranging from the guide to getting it on type of thing to sacred sexuality connecting blowjobs and being breast fed. I've read it enough times to make me curious about if there is a connection or not so I figured I start a thread and a poll to see if women (or men) who were breast fed are more likely to enjoy performing fellatio.
I was not breast fed and Freud says this is why I compulsively put things in my mouth. At least Thats what Im told, never looked it up.
LOL! When I read the thread title, I was envisioning something completely different... In fact, I think it might be interpreted several different ways if your mind is in the gutter like mine...
I got the boob as a baby, and have been sucking the milky stuff out of cocks for a long time.... and I still love to suck on boobies too Correlated? Probably not, breastfeeding is after all the reason mamary glands exist. Just another case of someone reading way too much into something, imho
Interesting hypothesis. No inclination to smoke pole myself, due to being a boring ol' hetero, but I could see a psychological connection between the two. Freud has a bad rap today, but he was often on the money where it came to theorizing the complex process of socialization and sexualization w.r.t. the filial triangle. A predilection for sucking cock need not be so rigidly determined by infantile experience, however. I would wager both breast and cock feeding are evolutionarily advantageous. There's studies which suggest a correlation between not having been given breast feeding and various alergies, immune system deficiensies and so on. Though something probably underdiscussed in high school biology 101, it doesn't take a degree to see how an orality of the sexual sort might prove evolutionarily advantageous. Across different species, oral sex serves a heuristic function in reproduction; it allows the female to gauge the quality of the prospective male's genetic material on the basis of taste, with pungent cum serving as a warning for potential defects or diseases. Human sexuality, though supposedly divorced from reproduction with the advent of pharmaceutical contraceptives, remains rooted in a competition over 'eligible' partners with 'love' or even just 'infatuation' serving as an emotional front-end for considerations of genetic quality. A cold, crushingly deterministic understanding of human sexuality and behavior, but the good news is people have more tricks up their sleeves where it comes to augmenting their attraction-factor. I would say a certain oral fixation - for both sexes - never hurt anyone's chances where it comes to snaring that premium other. Or rather, in today's sexual economy, NOT to engage in fellation would seem to put you at a serious disadvantage where it comes to finding and keeping a prospective partner. Going by the responses on this forum, it seems an overwhelming majority of men consider oral indispensible to a satisfying sex-life, and would readily pass up a girl who doesn't for one that does. So summarizing: breast-feeding doesn't 'prime' the infant for oral sex later on in life; rather, sucking teet and sucking penis appear to be, as they put it in business/motivational literature, the habits and practices of (evolutionarily) succesful people. Needless to say, I myself was denied breast milk as a child, and I consider it possible this might have programmed me for taking a cold, disenchanted view on life and human behavior which, though accurate, might not necessarily be the 'proper' attitude, as in evolutionarily advantageous.
I saw that in a Tantric yoga book, they even had a picture comparing the two. It triggers a woman's innate sensations like a baby sucking teet
You know what Freud said "If it's not one thing it's your mother." I've seen this picture too. That is one of the things that made me curious. Stay Brown, Rev J
So if breastfeeding instills an inclination towards giving head does that mean it will give men more of a tendency to become gay?
