Well I don't drive and neither does the other half so we walk everywhere, he catchs the train into work about 40-50mins.
I walk to class, but I drive a lot to the mountains and the beach and stuff to go hiking and when I do that I drive my charming '97 Toyota Tercel
I walk. There is River between my Home and Work. In Winter time, is possible to walk across the River, and work in 10 minutes time! Summer time, I must walk around, which is 25 minutes.
one job: 20-25 minute drive on surface roads. other job: about 40 minute drive, half highway half surface. my vehicle is about like this, only dark blue instead of black, a slightly more recent model, and starting to rust on the bottom.
I have 2 jobs. One takes me about 2 minutes of walking to get to. The other is 8 miles away and takes 25min by car, 40min by bike or 1 hr by running. I usually go with the car option.(99.997% of the time)
))) Actually, when little, in Summer time we did create Raft to get across the River and to School. Some of the time, we could float on Barrels hold together with Rope. Of course, it did not always be correct, and we fall into the River. Unfortunately, there is no 'Spring Thaw' that does appear close, it is cold, Trucks still driving across the River. )
the only way i go anywhere is to walk or ride some kind of public transit. i just don't want to support what the interest on indenturing myself to a car would go to.
I travel to work via metro. Where i live is 10 minute walk from the metro station. Once on the train (no more than 2-5 minute wait) it takes 40 minutes to get to the metro stop near my work. once outside the metro station, it is another 5 or 6 minute walk to work. I should be moving to a place that would be just one metro stop from my work (so, 5 minute walk, 2-3 minutes on metro, 5-6 minute walk OR 30 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride). I look forward to biking a short distance (2 miles or so) to work soon!
Jog? Wicked Cardio... Kills all of your muscle though... Anything over 5ish, every day is way to much.
