I'm a little embarrassed that I've never heard of the Rainbow Family until a few days ago. I've been reading up on it online and I'm really digging the concept! Can someone tell me about the Family? I'd just love to know anything you care to share!

For a long time I wanted to be rainbow, but in the past year I met over a dozen, and while the concept is a good idea, the people that profess the concept leave much to be desired. I'm not sure I want to be rainbow after what I've met.

There is always the good and the bad. I've been going to gatherings for yrs and about to hit the road again and go to more. I've always had a wonderful time and met so many kind family on my travels that i'll never forget. To experience what the Rainbow Family is all about you gotta go to a gathering. :daisy:

Thanks for all the insight, guys :) It's super helpful. I gotta look for a gathering that's relatively close to Pittsburgh. :daisy:

Nationals this July will be on the east coast. It's the biggest gathering of the year. That would be your best bet. Last year was in PA you missed it : (

The 2012 Annual Rainbow Gathering will be celebrated somewhere in either Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia or New Hampshire.

Wherever it is , it's worth the trip.

This is one of the rainbow websites i use to get info.

I've been to two nationals and it's finally time to go again. This will be the first time for my two youngest kids.Just like anywhere else there will be kind ,wonderful, spiritual people who enjoy camping and getting back to what life is really all about. Then there will be a few complainer/whiners who would have liked staying home better. Some are all about love and peace, some are just spiritually immature, but still need love and direction.
