If you had to mop floors for 20 years to get every thing you ever wanted would you do it? What about 30 years? And yes you probably have most likely walked across a floor that I have moped, I'm a rely good moper, :2thumbsup:
No, because what I really want is to work as a botanist and I can have that without mopping floors. Though I have worked as a housekeeper for many years, so I guess I have mopped floors to get where I am at...
I used to mop at a restaurant I kind of liked it I could probably do it for 30 years if the pay was good and the co-worker were friendly
Another compatible economic aside to botany would be prostitution. Is Phytophthora ramorum infecting madrone/manzanita?
I will probably mop for a living sometime in my life. shit today I cleaned a house for free, Id love to be paid for it.
You have to remember it's not about moping the floor, Its about doing something for 20-30 years that you may not like doing but at the end of this time, You wouldn't have to do any thing else except what you wanted to do because you will have every thing that you ever wanted, The question revised would you spend 20-30 years of your life doing something that you might not want to do in order to for-fill all your life goals and ambitions?
I would have to be sure those goals or ambitions are truly mine. Assuming you know everything at the present moment including your own goals is usually an error, as I have found. What if at the end of those 20 years you discover those goals didn't exist?
Their is nothing wrong with mopping floors. Their is something wrong with how much these people tend to make.
A child might be convinced by their parents that going to church is what they want. As soon as we think or say we want something, aren't we laying that over the true physiological basis for the statement or thought? The two might not necessarily correspond, especially if our powers of interpretation are deficient.
I like doing all things, my only ambition is to enjoy the journey of life and make it as creative and colourful as possible, on a daily basis one of my previous duties included peeling no less then 120kg of carrots by hand, this was only done at the end of the day and had to be done before I could go home, Did I like peeling those carrots NO, did I have fun Peeling those carrots YES, If I find my self not doing what I want I will move on, Action conquers Fear
So long as it exist's in your mind it's yours, If at the end of that time you found you wanted something different you would still obtain it, Just 20-30 years is all it would take no longer no less,
If I see on tv an advertisement for an expensive car which makes me say "I want that" and I work for that for 20 years to get it, I would probably regret it later. Then again, if I DID regret it, then at the end of the 20 years I would achieve some common sense so it wasn't a waste of time. Is that what you're saying?
No, Like every thing you ever wanted...... if you wanted to own a house on the moon its yours + what ever else you could think off, If you thought you wanted some thing but then changed your mind it wouldn't matter because you can have any thing, The only requirement doing some thing that you might prefer no to and spending 20-30 years doing it, Does that help?
