Right, right, right. I have never seen Star Wars, I want to see it though. Everyone is telling me to watch it in weird orders. So someone please clarify, what order is the best to watch it in? Thank you. P.S. I love Yoda.
1 to 6 would seem the most logical however, I do see the merit in 4 to 6 before 1 to 3. they are in truth 2 different sets of stories (obviously) though the 'secret' is out in film 5, and seeing it them in chronological order would not be as big a surprise as it was at the time. Balancing it out however, I think for those who have not seen any of them I think 1 to 6 is probably the best (though bear in mind the special effects with be noticable in the earlier rather than later films) - Thereagain one could always self-meditate and let the force show you the way Enjoy
Just watch 4-6. 1-3 are worthless. Watch them at some point in the future if the opportunity arises and you have absolutely nothing better to do. If there's some way to find the original versions of the original 3 without all the shit the lucas added after the fact then that's the best option, although they're probably very difficult to find. You should trust me, I am Darth Vader after all.
watch star wars.a new beginning...the empire strikes...and return of the jedi dont bother with the other ones
Truth^^ And if you can try to get original's not the new ones, which are digitial enhanced and Lucas added stuff....... fail there....
Just how unbelievably bad Attack of the Clones was especially, still makes me just want to burst out in tears. The original trilogy was so freakin awesome then we got to wait decades for it to be followed up by 3 steaming piles of dog turd
the first 3 (Ep. IV,V,VI) are the greatest mix of sci-fi/fantasy/adventure films ever in my opinion. btw,Yoda is awesome in The Return Of The Sith but that would be the last one to watch.
The order can be confusing they made the first one , eps 4, in 1977 , then eps 5 in 1980 and eps 6 in 1983 .They remain IMHO the greatest sci fi trilogy ever . The prequals eps 1-3 where made in 1999,2002 and 2005 . You dont need to watch 1-3 in order to understand the story IMO . Watch the orginal 3 eps ie "a new hope" , followed by" the empire strikes back" then "return of the jedi" no 4-6 first and only if you really, really, really have to then watch eps 1-3 . and remember When 900 years you reach, look as good, you will not. :wheelchair:.........
I saw them in the order they were released, and I wouldn't change it if I could. I got to see Star Wars IV in 1977 in one of the most modern theaters in the world at the time. It was well worth standing in the hot ass sun all day in the biggest line of people I'd ever seen. I've heard you might still find it playing at an IMAX type theater from time to time. You should really see it like that, or at least on a big screen with surround sound. And make sure it's not the edited one with the extra CGI crap added, as I think someone mentioned before. It should never have been done, IMO. If you become a Star Wars fan after that, the rest of them won't be too hard to choke down. Just my two cents.
I like the newer three as well although I fully I agree with the general critic on them. I guess the original trilogy made me fall in love enough with the whole star wars universe and characters to enjoy not only the newer trilogy but also the extended stories in some of the star wars video games  I just love Star wars, the highlights are definately episode 4, 5 and 6. It started with those so I'd say watch them first!
Yoda, you love. Watch Star Wars, you must. Definitely don't even bother with the newest ones. And try to find the old school versions of the 1st 3. The addons are BULLSHIT. I have to fast forward though some of the revisions.
If you insist on watching the new ones, and if you happen to watch them in order, please don't let that fog your judgement of the originals.

Star wars is actually SF fantasy.. and should be in fantasy section. Crabby, you dont have to watch.. it has no science and little more than a mafia script
Way to late but I feel like I should add that someone new to the movies wouldnt be as harsh on the newer 3 because they wont feel like lucas raped their childhood.
