Ive always thought that too. If me and my buddies are ever watching tv baked and an above the influence or drug free america ad comes on we all get really excited. :sifone:
I was in a local anti-drug commerical, I doubt I could dig that clip up but I'm sure I'd get a good laugh at it now. I had only smoked weed at the time of the filming but I got arrested for coke in the commercial.

I see this one on TV all the time! These anti-drug (especially weed) commercials are pretty funny, yet irritating at the same time because a lot of people actually believe this stuff... We're getting further away from legalization with every view i'm sure
Yeah same. The thing that really pisses me off though is the inherent sexism in the difference between the ad centred around the male kid and the one centred around the female kid. In the ad with the boy the consequences of doing drugs (which has to be oregano, that white boy's probably in middle school and can't tell the difference) is ultimately the destruction of his bright middle-class suburban life and future. Alternatively, the only drug-produced crisis in the girl's ad is the degradation of her physical appearance. She starts off bright and pretty, does drugs, gets made to look stereotypically unattractive and is led even further by drugs to the breakdown inducing climax which is her cutting her hair off into a mullet-style. This of course all suggests that while the boy's worth is in his current and future achievements, the girl's worth is solely reliant on her physical attractiveness. Not only are these ads completely misinformed and ridiculous propaganda, they're very sexist as well. Harper is like an asshole filled with cold piss.
