I don't even want my identity, so why would anyone else want it? This has never happened to me, although one time I was very scared that it was going to. I always take great care now to make sure any personal documents I throw out are always sufficiently torn up before I put them in the rubbish. I also take great care to never give personal details online unless I'm certain that the company is legitimate.
I Have Never Known Anybody This Has Happened To.... If It Doesn't Mean Disclosing Private Details Can You Tell Us What It Entailed..?? Cheers Glen.
All that has happened so far is that someone has made purchases using my debit card. I guess it is not really my identity so much as much my bank account identity... at least so far. I have lost some money, but my bank has cancelled my cards and I will get the money back. Whoever stole my account information or whatever really picked the wrong person because I have terrible credit already and no money I am really careful, I think what actually happened is that when I was on my work trip I paid for dinners and stuff with my card and I suspect that one of the waiters wrote down the number. Not really sure though.
Good morning, could not happen to me, I sold mine in France for a bottle of red wine last year . Regards Gyro
I want to keep my identity, but they can steal this crap body any time they want... Anyways. all joking aside, glad you caught it in time and the bank is going to straighten that out for you.
I have had my check card info stolen twice, the first time it was from a atm machine at a gas station. The second time was at a restuarant. Each time the money that was taken was done out of state and my bank replaced all the money that was taken.
I'd rather my viriginity be taken with my consent, than "stolen", but I wouldn't be even able to give it away. lol Nobody would want to steal it.
Actual identity theft is much worse, people find credit/debit cards all the time. Crazy thieves heading out and getting free gas.
