The Feds have just said they are going after ANYONE who sells medical marijuana for profit... So that means they would either have to deny Sativex a license to sell in the US, or make them give it away at cost, since they can't profit from it. Please remind them of this later...
Yay for Obama's Change. I dislike Dems more than Republicans. At least Republicans know where they stand. Dems are all double talk. This is why I go Libertarian.
:bandana:to just dave--legalizing pot would just play into big "agri"'s hands and we all know who's sleeping with them. but to be dangerously positive, pot at a small scale would be more than likely overlooked. meantime, pot could be inspected for quality, taxed, just like what happened after prohibition was repealed. but even in a worst case scenario--at least the casual, personal use grower would be largely ignored. just sayin'. paisley skye.
Nah...... If it was legal, I'd grow boatloads of minimally tended plants for free....... What plays into their hands is saying I can't but they can, and can sell it to those who are otherwise arrested for doing it themselves.
I am pretty sure the FDA will make sure something is added to Sativex that makes death or some dread disease a side effect....
Thank God for seed banks and burn piles eh? If it comes to that just move ops indoors and stop allowing open pollination with unknown variables from outside as best you can,,, bleach / HO misting prior to entering nursery or UV or something to sterilize pollen,,,.
the issue of the place of pot in our society, along with various other matters, only reinforces my view that this nation is following the clear, historically-backed pattern that put hitler in power early in the last century. the old adage "those who don't see the pattern of history are bound to repeat it", rings loud and clear today. those who deny the accuracy of this statement will certainly rush greedily and blindly into oblivion without ever seeing what hit them. woe to all of us! peace (can be possible)! paisley skye.
I've thought about this myself plenty of times. The "we can but you can't" rule already applies seeing as how the government is already trying to profit and has patents on cannabis as a neuroprotectent. I really have a tough time with this one, if they try and sell it yet deny people the right to grow themselves would enough people boycott to not make it worth their while? I know I would but I know many weak smokers who just want to toke up and don't stand for anything.
Delta 9, thats a big problem. people are selfish, and once they get what they want, they don't care.... And if something's worth taking a risk for the sake of fighting evil, they're happy to sit back while you take that risk. Storch, most don't know, and it's come under increasing legal attack, with those who hang juries even charged with obstruction of justice. Can you say "kangaroo court"?
Simply sitting is not going to work. You have to do something creative to ensue that those who are suffering from the difficult diseases get the solutions through it. So those who feel that they can do something, should make their presence felt.
