I never smoked until I was 18 and had graduated from high school, and wanted to try it to see what the BFD was all about. Tried it on and off over the years and always enjoyed it, but didn't become a serious smoker until I hit my late 30's and into my early 40's. (42 now.) I attribute my smoking to being completely stressed out from work. Funny thing is, I'm the only one of all of my co-workers who isn't on anti-depressants.

I am, however, taking a break from smoking right now. Feeling a bit burned out. Someone gave me about an ounce and a half of white widow. Good stuff, but I'm tucking it away for later use. Seems to work a bit too well.

Not weed specifically but I was 11 when "Journey to the Center of the Mind" was release by The Amboy Dukes... The first time I head that song on the radio I just knew instantly. Of course I wasn't able to start until several years later but that song set a precedence for a life style at a young age.

I remember being a little kid (even littler) and always thinking of how i wanted to do drugs lol, I remember being like 10-11 years old, thinking how i couldn't wait to try weed, LSD, shrooms, etc... mostly psychedelics, I don't know where it came from... neither of my parents or anyone i knew ever did drugs, out of all my friends i'm still the only one that does them...

    That's a good question.

I was offered it by my friend once and turned it down when I was about 14.

Then I was at baseball practice when I was 15 and started talking about it with a different friend.
I became curious when he told me he could get me some. Me and three other friends all bought some and had the best time ever.

I smoked for the first time, the summer after graduating high school. Why did I decide to try it? Simply for the sake of exploration. I initially wasn't too impressed with it, however, soon grew to love it as it allowed me to expand my normal thinking.

I wondered what the big deal was, I had contact highs before because my mom toked. I had friends who did it, but no one wanted to smoke me out the first time since they thought it was a bad thing. I was at a party and got to try it, finally!

I wanted to see what the tough guys were doing. Seriously, it's just what the cool alternative kids at school were doing when I got in touch with it. "Let's get fucked up!", etc.
