do not want to get pregnant

hey my boyfriend and i are both 21 years old and virgins we have been together over 3 years and decided we are ready to lose it to each other in the next week when we get a chance at his house lol when no one's home. so im on tri - cyclen lo and a week into my 4th pack. maybe in the past 3 months i have been no more then 30-45 mins late a pill maybe twice and never skipped and take religiously same time. so we to avoid me getting pregnant i am on birth control , my boyfriend promised to use a condom everything and to pull out. for some reason i am still pretty worried for my first time, i know the chances of getting pregnant are a verryyy low precent but i've still heard it to happen and its possible and im just so scared i might be that precent especially since we are both virgins and dont know what we are doing as much.

he wants to this weekend friday/saturday but my period start well just light spotting monday 12.. flow was tuesday 13.. which starts as day 1? i think its tuesday the day of actual flow? either way this weekend friday- monday is most fertile days and monday (around then) being ovulation time. i understand that i shouldnt be ovulating while on bc but im still scared i might be or break through ovulation?

so i wanted to avoid sex on what would be the most likely to conceive days... am i just being paranoid though? im starting to feel really bad cause everytime we try for sex it doesnt happen and last time we were naked and i didnt end up doing it after a bunch of foreplay. anyways am i over reacting? he wants to friday/satur i am on bc and him using a condom, what are the chances? we have waited over 3 years and this just keeps getting pushed back each week. what are the chances of pregnancy on what would be most fertile days on tri-cyclen lo and condom and am i over reacting? will i be safe? also my periods while on the pill come like clock works 28 days so yes i know for sure this weekend would be mid cycle (aka most fertile days if not on bc) so basically should it be avoided? any advice please!

you can get pregnant any time.. most likely to conceive though 14 days before your period, but remember sperm can live in your reproductive tract for up to 8 days... if you're that worried use a condom too

 

it will be day 12 mid cycle on this friday when he wants to.. so yea most likely to conceive. with my birth control pill and the condom should i be safe even during what would be most likely to conceive time?

 

if you don't understand how the birth control pill or condoms or a woman's ovulation cycle works, maybe you aren't ready for the pill.

And always remember, no matter how much protection you use, nothing is 100%.

you're never 100% fine.. even on bc with condom + pull out there is a chance to get pregnant.. ovulation CAN happen on the pill, my mom got pregnant on the pill, taking it the way she was supposed to, and also got pregnant on the depo shot. you're overreacting a little bit, you should be fine as long as you use a condom too, but just be prepared that you still can get pregnant and you need to be ready to deal with those consequences, if you're not, then you don't need to be having sex

 

Lina, you should not get prego with the condom AND birth control.

Relax, the calendar days to worry the most are 14 to 17 days after period day 1. Day 12 should be no problem.

That said, my daughter was on Lo Estrogen 24 Fe and DID get pregnant BUT they didn't use a condom as they thought she was safe on the pill. As much as one hates condoms, I'd suggest keep using them if you really CAN'T/SHOULDN'T get pregnant.

Please relax enough and have fun - sex is very theraputic - BUT, it will not be fun for bf if you are a spazz case. When you're in the moment, DO NOT bring up your fears!!!!!! (if you have fears, do not "get in the moment" WITH them).

yeah i think we might it just scares me i might be that small chance and more so being mid cycle.. and reading the fails of bc pills sometimes.
also does anyone find that there mood changes on tri cyclen lo.. my mood in general changes so quickly and also relating to sex with my bf. like i will be with him and so sure its what i want and he will assure me we are doing everything right to make sure i dont get pregnant but then an hour later il read stuff online that freaks me out like failure rates and peoples experiences and i'll post pone it, now i wanted to tell him after like not this weekend but the following.

First off- I applaud you for your caution- you know that you don't want to become pregnant & are taking responsibility to ensure that doesn't happen.

With that being said...I am sure you will be fine. Take your hormonal birth control regularly and as on time as you can. Seeing as how you've been taking it for some time, your body should be totally used to it. If you still have some fear/doubts, using a condom should be fine, though nothing is "100% but abstinance", I am positive you will be fine. For every person whose BC fails them, there are many many more who are baby-free. When used correctly, it is quite rare for it to not work.

So just relax! Take any precautions that make you feel comfortable and then just let yourself be in the moment. If you find that you can't get over this fear, maybe ask yourself if its others fears/feelings getting in the way.

 

thanks ASage.. i have been taking them everyday exactly 12 noon.. except after the time change we lost an hour about a week ago and i still continued taking 12 noon, i hope this didnt mess them up? they are a lower dosage (tri cyclen lo)

so it looks like its going to happen this friday 30 lol since im paranoid about not getting pregnant we agreed that at least the first time we wont on my most fertile days (what would be if i wasnt on the pill) i used 2 different free ovulation calendars online and they gave me almost exactly what i got when i counted the days myself..i counted monday being day 14 ovulation day, since i got my period (flow) march 13th.one website says tuesday 27 is ovulation day, and wednesday is low fertility and thursday on are not likely days to conceive (i know any is possible) then another website says monday 16 is ovulation (what i counted)..which is correct? even if its tuesday some people before have said avoid 4 days after, which would be wed/thurs/friday/sat? but i have also heard 2 days after is sufficient..so even if i ovulated tuesday then no sex wed/thurs and friday should i be fine? like i said i know im on bc i just want to avoid what would be most fertile days especially my first time.

There is always a chance. There will always be a chance you can get pregnant. There is for any woman

If you are on the pill no matter what time of the month you should be fine. Using a condom aswell is great so i highly doubt you will get pregnant.

Having your BF pull out is silly because its his first time, he will love exploding in you.

You are most horniest during ovulation. Sex is the best during ovulation. If you are protected i wouldnt worry to much about falling pregnant.

Just remember lots of foreplay

My mom got pregnant twice on birth control, once taking the pill (correctly) and once on the shot (which you can't even fuck up anyway) and now I have two horrible sisters that I hate

I also have many friends who got pregnant on birth control, including friends who got pregnant on the shot and nuvaring, and a friend who (like me) was told her chances of becoming pregnant were slim to none due to a disease whose only treatment essentially is birth control, shit just happens

always use a condom.. even if not for birth control purposes.. he might be a virgin but could also carry hpv and not know it.. which also happened to me

......i basically just want to be extra cautious and avoid most fertile days so basically would that be 2 or 4 days after tuesday (what would be ovulation day) or what?? lol any help on this plz and thank you
