Voting is not important enough this time around. Why? It's the same ol same ol no matter who wins.

But if you think voting this November is more important than ever, then explain why you think that.

Write-in candidates. Not that my state gives the option for write-ins on the presidential ballot, but I don't know if that's in every state or not.

It isn't. Statistically your vote is almost garuanteed not to make a difference, plus democracy is just political speak for the tyranny of the majority. If someone can point out why I should partake in a system which is based on the preference of the majority rather than the rights of the individual coming first I'll be glad to vote.

Corporations run this shit now, what I say or don't say wouldn't matter one bit.

(unless I say something that got me stuck into a corporate prison, then they would dig that shit because I would become a commodity)

Whether your vote makes a difference or not, one thing's certain: It will not if you don't cast it.

Where i decided to spend my dollar is more of a vote than going into a silly libabry and pushing some buttons on a screen for the future president.

I just remember that if I did not vote in the last election perhaps Sara Palin would be one heart beat away from being president. There are several million people that were affected by the outcome of the 2000 elections, a stronger turnout for Gore would have changed the world and millions of people would have been spared a lot of suffering. This coming election is of no less importance, believe it or not but things could be worst, if Obama lost we would be at war with Iran 3 years ago and still fighting both of Bushes wars.

I agree. I have never voted and am not sure who I will vote for. I might as well at least punch a button on a screen.

As Ghandi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world."

That is how I live, I vote everyday with my actions.

Arguably much more influential. I usually think of my dollar as a vote, but then I vote selfishly for what I like and don't always put enough thought into the ethics of the source.

There are certainty things I won't buy and places I won't shop for ethical reasons, but much of what I spend my money on is just for my own pleasure... lame

This will be the first year ever in my 28 years that I have actually registered to vote. Although I think the polls are set up (look at the Bush elections with the fucking hanging chad things in Florida....SET UP!) I'm going to give it a go anyways and vote for Roseanne Barr. We need a female president, someone who has passion, feelings and gives a fuck about EVERYONE not just the rich people.
